Walking on a flat surface is severely underrated in my opinion
Words could not be truer. Can't wait to get the gas tank install and that compartment closed up as well.
I'm planning out some of the next steps and the depth finder transducer is on the list. It is a shoot through hull model and was previously attached in the rear, ~6" up from the center line. From my understanding, you want the transducer to be vertically level. However, the original was just epoxied to the hull without any spacer to level it. It's only about 15deg slope but still not vertical. Is it possible the unit compensates for this somehow? or would it just misread the depth (I assume it would show a slightly deeper depth than actual due to the angle).

Another question, since I'm going to gel coat the engine area, should I epoxy it to the hull then gel coat, or can I gel coat, then epoxy the transducer to the gel coat? Not sure if the gel coat will mess with the transducer signal if it's mounted on top of the gel coat. It goes through the hull already so feels like it should be ok but not sure.
