would you put drywall on the end of this wall where I cut it short to leave the breakerbox accessible?

It almost looks the same size opening as a locker if you could get your hands on one and cut the back out of it you would have a cover up and some storage to boot!

The wall looks great Troop..
Hard to see how the wall looks from the front in the pic.. If you don't use the sheet rock then I would put some of the left over
foam board to help insulate.. That's alot of propane use..

Well ifin it were me and I wanted to finish and paint everything . I would hang d/w and put a corner bead on it . Or you could just trim it out with some wood . Or install a half/L-bead at the end of what you have then finish and paint . Just remember a garage/ super awesome man cave don,t have to be to fancy as long as the beer stays cold !:joyous:

I'd cover the end of the wall, if it'll bother you to leave it uncovered, else it's the garage :D

Either way, I wouldn't cover the box, and certainly not w/ anything that could prevent quick & easy access, like a storage cabinet in front of it would, but that's just MHO :)

Looks like a real nice job on the screws, nice & even, and driven just about perfect! Yep, you & SP would make a heckuva D/W crew

Re: '78 Ebko Lebaron - Therapy

Question...
Is the breaker box connected via conduit or flexible cable?

If it is flexible cabling, you could re-mount it so that it fits flush to the new drywall and D/W+insulate it in place...

If not you could still fill the space around it with some insulation and D/W it in also...

BTW, Lookin Reeeeel Gooood!:)

Thanks Kenneth...yes that is cold, especially down your way...I was happy to see the temp was only 40 in the garage this morning, no heat over night and the overnight temps were in low 20's...I'm happy...

Just put drywall on the sides and top of the window then maybe a 1x pine or popular for the sill . Let it stick out about an inch in front and caulk underneath . Finish the outside corners with D/W corner bead and mud . Or just trim the whole thing with wood ..
Looks like you and Nate have it whipped ! Nice work Troop !
