Rocking looks awesome, once you get all the tweaks done, it should definitely stay nice and toasty...

BTW, I think all that snow and cold weather has to do something with global warming...

the Ebko cave looks awesome Troop! I'm with you, I don't think spring is really coming this year... Can't wait to move to our new castle in June where I have a finished garage like yours. I just don't get the obnoxious fume advantage of not being attached to the house like yours... thankfully I have a VERY understanding Admiral :facepalm:

Thanks CW...I'm sure you will be happy when you get into the new place...

I am making progress on the taping....8 joints with a double coat....11 still to go on the walls...then on to ceiling....going to do the third round as I go.....getting the hang of it...put it down and leave it be till it dries....rinse and repeat....

You can hit it with a sand pole between coats . Knock the ridges down a bit . It helps with the next coat .. Make sure ya spot the screws as you go 3 coats ..

Put 3 coats of mud on the fasteners as you tape , bed , and skim . Wipe them with mud then pull all the extra mud off at a different angle ..Don.t build the mud up to high unless ya like to sand ..

Ok, I see.....and actually how I have been doing the screws....so I can tell how many coats they have....thanks for the tips...

How far are you going with the finnish on the man cave? Are you going to texture and paint also?

Spot the screws=Putting little round circles around each screw with a black marker..:facepalm:

I think louvered shutters/blinds would be ok, they're usually made of wood, :lol:

No curtains....but I made some good progress on the mudding.....did not finish as I had hoped, but got alot done....only about 2/3rds of the cieling left to do.....then some final sanding and primer/ paint....maybe some vinyl base molding....then the Ebko can start getting some attention....

Thanks Patrick...slow and steady as she goes...maybe this long weekend will get me motivated? Miss being on here and able to give some good progress reports....I feel out of place just giving blog updates....seein there are some on here that dont like that sort of thing....soon...I promise...soon...send some warm air this way will ya?
