Re: 93 Bayliner 1800 Capri Outboard Restoration Project
The boat looks amazing. You did a great job. I have a 1990 18' capri and I am thinking about taking on the same project. If I go through with it I will use this thread as a guideline. I have a couple of questions for you.
How is it doing? Are you loving it?
Was your hull rated for a 150 HP outboard?
If you don't mind answering this...what was the ballpark $$ damage from first opening the floor until you had it back on the water?
Boat is doing amazing....really amazed how solid it is.....and lighter.
My boat came from the factory with a force 120 on it.....then again the new transom is over twice the width of the factory one.
My total bill including two new lounge seats I have not received yet was .....$2,738.00. This includes all the little things you pick up from Lowes etc....almost every other day.
