Re: Battery Trivia Question??????
A group 27 deep cycle should have no problem starting any normal marine engine. Maybe would have trouble with a very large deisel. I would go to Cosco or Walmart.
West Marine does have them but you get a better deal above.
Below is data from West Marine site
Group 27 dual purpose battery with 745 marine cranking amps. That would start a 500 cubic inch motor with no problem.
I could not find batteries here at Iboats.

Description
If your motor runs frequently, and your electrical demands at anchor are light, dual-purpose batteries are an effective and economical choice. Our SeaVolt? Dual-Purpose batteries are specially designed to perform like deep cycle batteries. The result is batteries that deliver plenty of marine starting power while still able to handle moderate deep-cycle loads. SeaVolt? Dual-Purpose batteries can last through 200+ deep cycles (more than other brands advertising so-called "Deep-Cycle" or "Marine and RV" batteries) and still provide plenty of cranking power.
