Re: BRAND NEW Larson from dealer - Not NEW!
Hey everyone! I love the soap opera metaphore. I say more like a Steven King novel! What is that saying? "All's well that ends well?"

I received a call from the dealership owner this morning and he said that he had a solution to "my" boat problem. After his discussion with Larson, yesterday afternoon, our BRAND NEW 2004 LXi 210 will be on the assembly line on June 1st and the build-up will be complete on June 7th. Coordinating with EZ Loader for the new trailer will take a couple of days as will delivery, but we should have our new boat delivered by mid June!

The dealer added (not Larson), that we may have complete use of the boat in our possesion until our replacement boat arrives, and that our new boat will be set up EXACTLY like our original including the color-matched Keel Guard that I purchased. Our last conversation drove home the fact that I could not let this issue rest, and the final phone conversation I had last night was with my attorney. She was ready to start "playing Hardball!" The tone was much different today and I don't know if Larson's direct involvement, or the owner of this well-established dealership (40 plus years) decided to save the reputation of his business, but either way, things are working out.

We are forever greatful to Larson for any input they had, and this proves to me that they indeed do feature the customer service that we have heard so much about. I must admit that the owner of this dealership also seems to be going above and beyond, as I would hope he would do, at this point. I made it clear that if I accepted this offer, that I would not have to deal with the original salesperson, either on the phone (we are 2 hours away) or in person because of the hard feelings shared by both of us, and that he would not have anything to do with work on our boat. The owner stated that ALL our dealings would be handled between he and I. This made me feel better.

Because the dealer is coming through on this problem, and the fact that Larson became involved so quickly, I feel that I need to be fair and show the same respect for both Larson and their dealers. Therefore, I will not post who this dealer is at this time. I'm sorry, as I wanted to do nothing more only yesterday. But as I said I must be fair also. If someone feels like this dealer may come into play, please email me and I will disclose the information. I honestly feel that the dealer is trying to do right by us even if it took a little pushing.

Thank you to everyone who became involved in this! Your input and support was invaluable to us and I truely hope that this type of situation can be avoided by future boat buyers. Sites like this do work and I'll stay involved and help where I can as well. Again, please email me with any questions or concerns. We boat buyers/owners MUST stick together. Hurray! for Larson.
