Re: Congrats Texas Rangers

it wasn't very good defense on either side last night...couldn't believe the errors....and how do you get to the last strike of the last out twice and loose?
It may not have been perfect baseball, but it was perfectly baseball. Last night was what makes baseball so amazing. And you could say "how do they get down to the last strike twice and win?" . . .

Definitely exciting.....I've coached a little baseball, my son is now a freshman in HS so I'm retired. I'm a defense guy. I just hated to give away outs, it almost always comes back to bite you. That play at second base last night where Napoli rolled his ankle made me cringe....can't believe he got up and walked that off. Wonder if he's gonna play tonight.

I'm now an Angels fan, my cousin recently married their backup catcher, Bobby Wilson...who was a team mate of Napoli's before the trade....but that's another topic.

You play the Cardinals!!

You have to remember that they were 10 1/2 games out at the end of August and they fought their way into the World Series. They don't give up. We have a couple of things going for us tonight. In the last 8 World Series that went to 7 games, the home team won, and we have the rally squirrel.

When the squirrel was down in Texas he kept a low profile because he thought some crazy Texan would shoot him and have him for dinner.:D

I hear ya.....they definitely rallied last night...twice.....but ya gotta play defense to win a series. They cannot have all those defensive errors tonight or it's not goin their way. I believe the Texans also battled their way back into contention as well.....it's a good series...finally not a bunch of blow out games. Much more fun to watch.

^^^^ Another Big Bang Theory fan. lol

Game 7 - Throw out everything that's happened up to this point. Slight edge to the Cards playing at home...

Gotta respect the Cards. Those guys are good and they won't quit.

Whomever wears the crown tomorrow will have earned it.

That place is going to be rocking.

I'm having a hard time with this one. I'm a National League fan (Cubs) but the Rangers have never won one. After their 2nd consecutive appearance they deserve one.

Yeah, I'm also a Cubs fan which is why I dread the Cards winning. I know a number of Cards fans and they will be insufferable if the Cards win. In fact, they already are.

Wrong. They got it as a gift from lousy pitching. :(

Re: Congrats Texas Rangers

Only the two walks in the first inning were gifts? All of the other walks and hit batsmen that scored were earned??? Worst performance by Ranger pitchers that I can recall. Even CJ, the strikeout king of the AL, hit a batter to drive in another unearned run on his first pitch.

Never mind. The Cardinals earned the crown in the ninth and tenth innings of game 6. After that something would have been wrong with the Rangers winning #7.

Very fair conclusion JB. Game 6 comeback(s) were amazing. For the Rangers too. A game for the ages.

Re: Congrats Texas Rangers

Earned, unearned, it really doesn't matter. In the end the Cards won. Bad pitching? Maybe the Cards handled the pressure of Game 7 better. That's got to earn you something....

Re: Congrats Texas Rangers

The better team had better pitching and the Texas pitchers were trying to pitch around the St Louis hot hitters and it backfired. Best team that night won the game.

Like I said before, I wanted Texas to win the series.
