Please remember what happened that day and the lessons we learned from it.

Please also honor the thousands who perished that day and the hundreds of thousands who died in the following conflict.

I can't believe I didn't hear anything about it on the radio this morning on my drive to work.

I will remember our brave men and women, then and now. Amen

I remember it and respect the victims and the men who died in the conflict that came after . But, I'm not sure we learned the right lessons from it.

Grandpas brother in law was stationed there when Japan attacked. He never talked much about his time in the Navy. He went on to fight across the Pacific Theatre as a Tail Gunner. Thread made me think of him and all the times he took us fishing as kids. Hat's off to my Uncle Grandle and all those Who served.

My father was stationed at Scofield (sp) barracks at the time. Not much mention on any of the news channels about this day in history. Guess we don't want to upset the Japs.

Let's all hope we have the determination to prevail against adversaries that the WW2 generation had.

I think we do, even though it may not apear that way if ya tune in to any MSM, or ponder the disgusting carp outa Hollywierd.

RIP great ones. Respectfully, JR

My son in law just shipped out for Iraq 1 week ago monday. If he's any indication ( which I think he is ) of the caliber of young men and women serving in our armed forces, I think we'll be OK.

Once again forgotten by our local paper which is not a surprise....

I remember a day when my son was in school and came home and no one had mentioned it

I remember and feel thankful for all that served and feel sorry for all that gave the ultimate.....

Thanks for the Flag pic.

Those of us that were alive and old enough to understand on that day will never forget.

I visited the Arizona on the 13th anniversary of that day, with a survivor as my guide. I won't forget that either.

I went back again in October of 2006. It seemed sterile by comparison.

Well I probably saw the sterile Arizona, but it was moving just the same. I am guessing it was 2000 and my family was with me. Very somber day, but that evening we saw a fireworks show from the plane as we took off to head home. It was for Mighty Mo as she was being welcomed to her retirement next to the Arizona. Pretty cool day and a great memory and reminder for my boys . . .

Can never forget what all the allied forces did and went through during WW2 to give us what we have today.

Hey Mudmagnet! Thanks to You and yer wonderful son fer protectin' all of us here at home. I will pray fer his safe return after he and his fellow soldiers have secured the victory many of us want.

My corncerns are not about our military or our soldiers (who are the very best we have ever had and the finest soldiers in world history, [IM not so HO]), my corncerns are about the "people" here at home.

Respectfully, (please thank yer son fer me), JR :)

Now, now OMR, real close there.

OMR, mud said son in law, not son, but still, thanks anyway!! I miss the old political threads where I could bash a liberal and thank a soldier all in the same post! Now I can only thank a soldier! :D

My mother got a chance to go visit the Arizona memorial when she was in high school. She said it was the one day since it opened that it had closed, I believe some remains of some sort had come to the surface. She never got another chance to go!
