Watched the game last night. Great game. Pettit slipped up and lost his concentration a couple of times, but I still love his pitching.

He expressed during an interview he would like to be closer to home with his wife and three kids, I would love the Astros to pick him up. :)

I would love the Astros to have him too, LF. Anyone but the EVIL EMPIRE, it will be interesting to see how many tens of millions Darth Vader will offer him this off-season.

Its only a pipe dream to think the Astros would invest that much in a new player. They'd rather pay way too much on ridiculous contract renewals for players who have more than seen their day.

I thought I heard something about the Rangers being interested in him during the game last night.

You don't mean the Yankees when you say the Evil empire now Do You!

I thought I heard on the game last night that the Yankees where going to be scaling back their payroll. That would be Nice I don't care who you are NOBODY deserves to make millions standing in a field and swinging a bat.

Yeah, I heard that too. Bennedict Arnold Clemens is gonna be retiring, David Wells is gonna be 40 and Pettite is up for free agency. So if they don't offer Andy a contract the payroll would be scaled back considerably. I don't know how they couldn't give him anything he wants, he is the most dominant big game pitcher in the game right now. I do agree though, how can you justify that kind of salary to play a game?

I watched it happen. Zimmer came out swinging. Seventy years old or not, Martinez didn't do anything different than Zimmer. Was an interesting game though. Great series. :)
