I for one am sick and tired of it!! You do not hear of unmarried relationships being paraded down the streets like, Lets have an immoral relationship day to celebrate where people that are having sex outside of mariage get a day to have a parade!

Just quit putting it up in front of our faces everytime you look up!!! Re: Gay marriages

This can not be said of male male relationship which despite what has been said has to be learned and done carefully in order for both partners to enjoy it.
See, right there.
It aint normal, or natural.
Made me sick to read that one.
I guess the bottom line is, if you accept it, so be it.
For me, my a$$ is EXIT only, has been since birth and will remain that way till they pat me in the face with a shovel fulla dirt.
If I ever hear some male tellin me (seriously) what a nice a$$ I have, I refuse to be held accountable for my reaction!

Re: Gay marriages

Something to consider:
Roughly 1 in 10 people are gay. Its also a fact that being gay isn't a choice one makes. I doubt many people would just wake up and say gee, I think I'd like to be gay, starting today. Its the way people are wired (brain composition) that makes them that way, and thats simple scientific fact. Beleive it or not.
Think of that when you are berating gays. Your kids have a 1 in 10 chance of being gay. It has nothing to do with their upbringing, or other outside influences.
One other thing-who is to say all gay men engage in anal sex as is implied in some of the above posts?

And no-I'm not gay.
PS-I sure do love lesbians. You know, the ones with fake boobs and high heels...

Public wanking?
Where have you been?

It already happens in a little town near me called Ashland.
Locally, we like to call it "Ashland-Sisco"
The tree-huggers up there are always doing the knuckle-shuffle in the open (among other things  )

Then there's San Fransisco. 'Nuff said!

I'm totally against gay marriage. It's just plain wrong. I'll leave it at that.

This country has fallen so far to accept these sorts of things. It just makes me sick.

My 2 cents.

H.

Re: Gay marriages

Topmason, in the animal world, acts of homosexuality occurs in almost any mammal that procreates in the typical male/female manner. It is not that there are bears out there that are choosing just guy on guy action, its just that all males need a release. It is particulalry bad when there are females in heat, but not close enough or available. Heck, look at the family dog. That thing will dry-hump just about anything in sight. I have lost track how many times I have seen male dogs doing it with other male dogs. Female dogs will dry-hump other females as a means of establishing dominance. Cats do it too.

Humans who are homosexuals are hard-wired that way from birth. It occurs through an imbalance of testosterone and estrogen that the fetus sees at the developmental stage. Like has already been said, they don't decide the are gay, often times they strugle with hetero relationships until they realize that they were never meant to have a hetero relationship. They then get the fine honor of having to hide "in the closet", ashamed of what they are , like they are a freak of nature or they come out and suck up what the "normal" world dishes out to them. It is unfortunate because as a general rule, it is enough of a pain in the arse just to get by nowadays without the added joy of being looked upon as a lesser person because of what gender they prefer.

Of course, I can't know what it is like to be descriminated against. After all, I am a white heterosexual male, who descriminates against that? I do try to at least understand the other side, even if it is something I myself will never be a part of. I used to see what happened to gays in the Army when they got caught. It was not pretty, and it also made me ashamed of those who "dealt" with the aforementioned gays....

Re: Gay marriages

A couple of things.

First, we can certainly compare ourselves to animals. However, there is significant difference between animal sex acts and human sex acts.

Humans appear to be the only species that have sex for the sake of having sex and not for procreation.

Based on Darwin's analysis of survival of the fittest, sex is for my genetic material's survival (ie. next generation).

For this reason, I don't think that the comparison to a 'gay dog' is at all appropriate.

Now, I am from your neighbour to the north. We just started to allow Gay marriage.

Does it bother me? No. As Pierre E. Trudeau said a generation ago: The government does not belong in the bedrooms of the nation.

What does bother me though are the homosexual parades. I don't think it helps their cause to parade around naked for a week in Toronto.

As a heterosexual male, I don't think I need a parade/festival etc. to celebrate my sexuality.

The way I look at it, some men prefer blondes, others redheads or brunettes. So some men prefer men. It's there perogative.

Just my opinion.

I really don't care if you are gay or straight as long as you can help me keep my 49 year old 7.5 fleetwin running.

That's why we are here.

Joe

Re: Gay marriages

There seem to be at least a couple of posters here who have a clue to what "homosexuality" is.

It is not a choice how they feel and respond to other people. The idea of intimacy with a male is as repulsive to a female homosexual as it is to other straight males. Same with male homosexuals and straight women.

Bisexuals have the good luck to choose which way they lean.

Should two people of the same gender choose to form a life partnership I think they should be entitled to any and all of the legal advantages that bi-gender couples may enjoy by getting married.

What they do in private is nobody's business, just as what you do in private is nobody's business.

I am one old fool who is embarrassed by what I though of segregation 50 years ago, what I thought of people of color, what I thought of women's lib.

Until I found that several people I have loved for many years had been hiding their homosexuality from me because of my know-it-all bigotry I thought I knew what I thought about that, too.

My Dad used to complain in his dotage about, "Too soon old, too late wise."

Re: Gay marriages

It's amazing how thousands of years of human history have all been wrong.

It's also amazing at how "enlightened" we have become in the last 20 or so years.

There is a fine line between enlightenment and social destruction. Just ask the Greeks and the Romans. That statement really doesn't apply to the homosexual issue, just societal decline in general.

I do not care on the "partnership" issue, either way. We've cheapened marriage to the point that it is not considered by far too many.

I do not like desrimination of any sort. Yet, I do not believe in "protected" classes either.

A heterosexual person can be fired from a job or government position, a homosexual cannot. The same rules apply for so called minorities.

Not equal.

Re: Gay marriages

Topmason, all I can say is "Oh My God". That picture is, uh, great. Also, as open minded as I am, I too do not find the thought of guy on guy action as appealing. They can do it, but I don't want to see them doing it. Too much hair.

Djohns, the whole sexual harrasment/ discrimination thing in the workplace has gotten way out of control. I think if you suck at your job, you need to go, and you should not be able to hide behind race/creed/color/sexual preference. THATS equality.

Re: Gay marriages

Hi Ryan,

There is no cure for it.
You can't change a person's predisposed sexual preference. You can't make a gay person straight just like you can't make a straight person gay. Thats just the way it is.
I guess the population is made up of, and in this order, Straight people, Bi-sexual people, Gay people, and people who molest children*
(*see, things can be worse)
