Re: How many more?

Maybe what we need are some anger management theropy sessions. I propose that they provide free non stop flights, to the middle east for those Americans that need to release a little "justice". :)

Also, put together some hunting parties for those hunters here in the US that want some big game. Turn them loose in Afghanistan and other places to hunt out bin laden.

Seriously, there are going to be ALOT of ticked off Americans if the panzys get their way. I wonder if they really want to be in the same country as us at that point. Speaking of this country. Didn't we break from a certain other nation because of religious persecution? Now we are being persecuted by a religion that is launching attacks in our own nation. And all certain people want to do is pretend we aren't Americans in order to keep the peace. How does that make sense? I mean why try to look like a duck when we are an eagle?

Re: How many more?

Tell you what..instead of Bush waking up.. I think its best that all the whining whoosies or (wimps=SB) go back to sleep (or read up on some history), and let the Men and Ladyfishes with balls of America deal with this attemped destruction to the civilized world. ;)

Nothing personal, but if you cant then you best not step in my foxhole when your lazy azz needs to run for cover!

Geez, just when you think your on the same page as most everyone (except for snapperbait  )....well, quiters never win and misery loves company.

Oh, and to answer blue lunch's question?....ANSWER=as many as it takes. And if you or anyone else cant stomach it, then get your azz to france.
oddjob! :)

Re: How many more?

As far as getting my azz back to France. My family has giving enough all ready 2 uncles in WW2 1 uncle in Korea 2 cousins in Viet-man. I agree we should finish do it right nuke em'. Why do we have to sit there and just be picked off couple a day, it sucks finish them off. I feel for the families that have to suffer. This town suffered one of the first KIA'S in the war. This whole town helped this family and the large part of it went to the services including myself. I remember my cousins funerals well and the memories all came back to me . It's sad. Ina few years it will be all over for most of us ..but for the KIA's and the wounded solders families it's never over....

Re: How many more?

BLU, this problem exists around the world and not just in the middle east. This is just the begining. The rags are on the run and it wont be over in just a few years. More people die everyday in auto accidents but I have yet to see anyone complain about that. Unless its an SUV!

Nuke them is a ridiculous knee jerk statement and unrealistic. And if we pull out so that the libs and the rags can call it a victory then all of OUR dead vets (god bless them) will have died in vein.

Also, about the question raised here on this forum about Vets having more clout to speak on this subject than others that dont. If thats the case do combat Vets have more than non combat. And do civilians with uncles and such who have passed have more clout than those that cannot name any. Please, save me the guilt trip people cause I wont partake. Find another sceem to validate your point or beliefs.

I gave 5 years of myself as a SEABEE and I didnt see any combat, and I'm not a bit sorry that I was unable to measure up to some or their familys on this post.

oddjob! :p

Re: How many more?

I agree that pulling out of Iraq would be suicide. We should stay until the job is finished, and should have had a lot less mercy on them to begin with. Too many people are way too concerned about civilian casualties and, although we should obviously be smart and preserve as many of our troops' lives as possible, it is war and anyone in our military knows the possible consequences of their job..or at least should. There are also a long list of other contries over there that should get a taste of our military, short of just putting a big bubble over the middle east, getting out, and letting the crazy morons kill each other as they seem to like to do also.

On another note, you really want to know a big problem in this country? Almost every post in this and many other debate type threads contains "those liberals" or "those conservatives"....THE RIGHT THE LEFT, THE REPUBLICAN THE DEMOCRAT, THE BLACK THE WHITE, THE BLUE THE GREEN!! It's disgusting that so many people in this day in age want to do nothing but segregate anything and everything they can. Apparently no one can just have their own opinion...you're either this way, and have these beliefs, or your that way and have those beliefs. Why can't Congress get a friggin thing done? Because they group themselves into two different categories and insist on going along with whatever their group dictates instead of having their own opinion and they sit there in a stalemate. People will vote in some a***ole just because they "have" to vote their party. What a joke. It makes me sick and a good lot of the wonderful, respectable people on this site are obsessed with perpetuating the segregating of Americans. I think a lot of the blame for this problem that we have can be placed on the brainwashing media, but us, as INDIVIDUALS, have to take our share of the responsibility. And that, for today  is all I have to say. Have a good one everyone, but think about the way we divide our country.

Here's a quote,I thought may have some relevance
to this topic.
Ask not for victory...Ask for courage.
For if you endure you bring honor to us all.
Even more you bring honor to yourself.

Re: How many more?

JB, you hit it on the head.

A few black eyes isn't enough to run home.
We won a flawless war, but the occupation isn't going so well for the moment.

We are in this to win and protect our nation regardless of what the media wants you to believe.

I don't want to see a nuke, but I'm sure there are plenty of non-nuclear bombs we could use to get their attention. Problem is, the rag-heads believe only two things: death or victory.
I suggest give them death. We had to do it in Japan. I suggest we do it again.

We simply cannot pull out now. If we did..how many terrorist groups would you see knocking on YOUR door? How long would it take to see a dirty nuke explode in our nation?
Maybe that's what it will take to make some of the left-wingers realize what we are up against.

Let our boys do the unthinkable and then come home feeling they done the right thing to protect our nation.

And I agree 100% : Those who don't know their history are doomed to repeat it.

H.

Re: How many more?

Hello Bay5884,

I guess I fall in the category of one of the people that segregates the left from the right, or liberal from conservative.

I will never EVER think like the "liberals" in this country or elsewhere. I agree, there should not be any segregation, but I can tell you, people that think like me don't want to be lumped in a group that think like the liberals, (or whatever word you choose).

So until these liberals,........sorry, I mean idiots get their heads out of the sand, then there will have to be some sort of segregation.

Do I like it......no, but its a fact.

Re: How many more?

Hey Bay, I dont have a problem being called conservative, its a compliment to me, why do libs (sorry :D ) or middled roaders(sorry ;) ) dislike being called liberal? Both words are in the dictionary...Gezz, you act like its an insult...maybe it is.....least I'm not accusing folks of starving children or taking social security from the elderly.

Gezz Bay, I'm perplexed! are you a democrat (sorry)?

Re: How many more?

BLU,

It wasn't over for the families of The American Revolution, War of 1812, American Cival War, Spanish American war, WWI, WWII, Korea, Vietnam, Lebanon, Lybia, Persian Gulf War, Bosnia or Somolia either!

But they all persevered and stood proudly, and carried on with their lives without being oppressed by some dictator, just as there loved ones, who gave their lives so it could be so.

It is my opinion that you are just taking it too personally, for I too know the loss of a family member, as my brother is still in Vietnam, his body never found!

But sitting here crying over that loss, and the losses that are occuring today, is just selfish!

Don't get me wrong, I'm not trying to be cold here, for I feel for every family member of a lost soldier, from any war, but feeling sorry for ourselves collectivly, will only get us deeper into this quagmire we are already in!

Now is the time for this war to happen, so our children and grand children and great-grand chilren hopefully will not have to fight a war of any kind!

One more thing to remember here...They, the Al-Quida's, the Saddams, etc..., all have declared war on the United States, unlike countries like France and Germany and Russia who have not had war declared against them, and we as a country are now defending ourselves from enemies who declared this war on us first, the U.S. did not declare war on them until after the enemy attacked America!

When these factions declare war on France, Germany and Russia, then they can have a say as to what we do, but until then, they need to shut up and mind their own buisness, lord knows the troubles they have!

NO, the war in Iraq is not over, and not one single person in the Bush Admin. ever said that it was!

So, for the time being we are going to have to accept these losses and honor those who gave it all to preserve the American way of life.

Winning and crying about it just makes the whole situation worse for everyone!

Now is the time to irradicate the world of these radical militant cults, for now, and for ever more!

Yes Carphunter...

I was trying to figure a way to say that too. I agree.

Segregation or not, the Leftist - Liberals need to wake up and smell the ashes of 9-11.

They are the ones who will need another attack, or two, or three before they realize what we are up against.

H.

Re: How many more?

There you guys go again...dragging me away from the work I'm supposed to be doing here in my box..er..cubicle to make another post :D

I just don't like it when people get lumped together..always seems to create a big stir, fighting between the lumps! The "party" system sure seems to do nothing but bog our government down. Personally, I wouldn't want to be categorized as either as my opinions range far and wide depending on the subject. Oil?..drill for it where we can and quit buying it overseas (but save as many trees as you can). Gay marriage?..sure, who cares, as long as I don't have to go to the wedding. Death sentencing?..yes, eye for an eye..if the guy killed someone by stabbing them 106 times, kill him that way, I'm sure there's someone willing to do it.

Don't want to get the thread off topic though, so...MORE BOMBING OF IRAQ UNTIL WE GET SOME RESPECT OUT OF THESE PEOPLE! STOP WORRYING SO MUCH ABOUT IRAQI CAUSALTIES AND WORRY ABOUT OUR TROOPS...KEEP 'EM THERE AND LET THEM DO THEIR JOB.

Still on topic, but kind of a side note..what should be done with the media over there? I personally like being informed of the events (other than when I hear how our military's hands are being tied like in the Washington Post article post from K. Brown  ), but I think they're a feeding frenzy for those who are so disrespectful to our own troops and country that want us to pull out without finishing the job.
