No, I dont Jack ...

whats attention grabbing is buffoons like this nitwit in texas, and "REVEREND" Jackson and "REVEREND" Al Sharpton, attention grubbing rabble rousing cretins that perpetuate racism by being charactures of "The Righteous Black", pandering to ignorance, perpetuating social disintegration and generally shining a bad light that is somehow seen as right in the lower socioeconomic centers

Reversing the spin on the racist views of Lee was cheap laughs, mea culpa, but I am as mad as hell over these blantant RACISTS constantly trying to wheedle "reparations" and forgiving horrendous behavior in the name of implied debt due to slaves being sold by their own trusted CHIEFS ... to primarily european slave traders!!!

and a white guy named Lincoln freed the slaves, officially on new years day, 1863 at the cost of some 360,000 Union soldiers, only 36,000 of which were black

"Reparations": MADE

"Debt" : PAID IN FULL

When does liability end and accountability and responsibility begin?

Tell me that Jack, enlighten this poor ignorant attention getter - and my profound apologies if your comments werent pointed at me

If they are, well buddy, ignore me at your own risk, see the bigger picture not just the inane squandering of money on so called racist HURRICANES for god sake

Personally, I think that when any Afro American looks for racism at every turn it only inflates anger between the races and causes us to go back a few steps in race relations.

Plywoody, I didn't bring up all the reasons I think she is moe than a little off her rocker since the thread was only about the issue of hurricane names. To 'back up' why I feel she is a disgrace to Texas is a whole other thread.

Re: Hurricanes names are racist?

thats exactly right ladyfish

especially when the African Anti-Americans involved are racist hate mongers intent on the upheaval of America at any cost, primarily so they can profit by "contributions"

like this human slug / slime / slab of chit Sharpton, even militant blacks think hes a joke, but there he is, pulling attention grabbing stunts at every turn, laying down in the middle of the Atlantic City Expressway in "protest",

and right on Kenny, actual current human tragedy goes unresolved, whereas something that happened over 140 years ... 140 YEARS FOLKS! ... ago has the liberal head nodders all in commiseration, america bad bad bad, bad slave mongers, bad bad ... lets throw MORE money at the ancient, long dead already resolved problem, 40 acres and a mule AND a cadillac and raise yer ten kids for free

GRRRRRRRRRRR get OVER it and take some responsibility FOR YOUR OWN LIFE

I don't like hurricanes, so I hope they never name one after me. But if Kiesha and Jamal would be honored with a hurricane named after them, I say they should set their sights a little higher. Oh by the way, if anyone would like to name their boat after me feel free.

Re: Hurricanes names are racist?

The real problem here will be if they allow African-American names to be used in naming hurricanes, as soon as an African-American name appears on the list of hurricanes for the year, someone will come around and say that those names were racial and is singling out the African-Americans, which would be unacceptable, and then the taxpayers would have to spend another billon dollars to reverse the decision!

THIS IS NOT AN ISSUE!!

But of coarse, once again, someone has decided that they could get alot of money by bringing up this issue, and has no intention of hoping to change anything, just make a profit at the taxpayers expence, and then complain that his taxes went up after all the games are over!

These people should be held responsible for their asking for these changes by making them pay for any and all shortcommings of their proposals.

Kenny

Re: Hurricanes names are racist?

A WorldNetDaily reader wrote:

"We should only name hurricanes for foreign officials who are in hiding or considered to be terrorists, or assisting terrorists. We could name the hurricanes after known illegal immigrants, since they are both unwanted and unwelcome anyway. Or how about we only choose French names, so the fear of hurricanes will be put to rest?" :p

Radio talk-show giant Rush Limbaugh says he was having dinner with his wife when he first learned of the proposal.

"I just threw up my hands. I said, 'Has it come to this now?'" Limbaugh recounted on his show.

"There's discrimination and actually elected officials wandering around worried about the discrimination in the name of hurricanes. And hurricanes are destructive. You know nobody's very excited when a hurricane's heading their way, and yet here she is demanding that hurricanes be named after black people.

"You know it used to be that hurricanes were named only after women because they were destructive and unpredictable. And that's the reason. The feminists grew upset about that, demanded that hurricanes be named after men, and so now, the civil rights leaders are demanding black names for hurricanes.

Limbaugh continued his analysis, saying it was not the mainstream populace responsible for what he called the "Balkanization" of race relations in America.

"It is these elected black leaders, the civil-rights coalitions – they're the ones that keep causing all this racial divide, they're the ones that keep calling attention to all this," said Limbaugh. "They're the ones that keep stirring this pot. They're the ones who don't want there to be any colorblind society. They're the ones who keep being agitated and trying to agitate others over all this, and now it's descended into the meaningless element of the names of hurricanes."

Anyone heard Molly Ivans take on this? ;) :D

Hi LadyFish,

I agree...

"It is these elected black leaders, the civil-rights coalitions – they're the ones that keep causing all this racial divide, they're the ones that keep calling attention to all this,"
Rush definitly nailed it this time.

But nothing will be done until alot of money is spent for something so frivulous, which is why it's an issue.

Some one is going to make alot of money at our expense, and laugh at us all the way to the bank.

Kenny

Re: Hurricanes names are racist?

First of all, SBN et al, She gets paid on a salary, and gets the same amount of money whether she is bringing up issues or sitting on the back porch drinking a mint julep.

And whatever the weather service decides to name the next batch of hurricanes, it won't cost the American taxpayer a single nickel more.

So again, I ask--why is this such an all-fired up issue with the right? To take radio time from Rush Limbaugh?

So again, if there is a reason this is a bad idea, and that reason makes any kind of sense, I will sure listen to it. I have yet to hear any rational reason of any sort yet why she is wrong, however.

I really get the feeling that somehow the right agrees with one of our posters, but are afraid to just come out and say it as he so eloquently did:

"If we'd a known they would cause this much trouble, we'd a picked our own **** cotton"
