My grandkids are insisting some are named donner, blitzen, prancer, kermit, and and scooby doo. makes more sense than gonorhea, nakalisha, and some of the made up black (non african) names. :D :D :D :D

Well big deal.
She gets paid a salary.

That gives her the right to waste her people's tax money on sitting and whining about names for hurricanes?

I don't think so.
She along with all the other elected officials need to worry about other stuff for the country and their state.

Plenty of other issues that need more attention than names for storms.

As other's have said, it's an attention getter and a waste of money at that.

A waste of money??? How?? Where is the money wasted, except for time on right wing fear radio.

Where is any money wasted at all?

And if you have given any sort of reason why this is bad idea, other than you and others on the right don't like it, Ladyfish, but you must be saying it in code, as I sure missed it.

Frankly, I think it makes a fair bit of sense. Whether you want to admit it or not, there is a race problem in this country. Here is something that it costs absolutely nothing to implement, and while not a big deal either way, perhaps, on balance is probably a help. What's to lose?

PW ,It seems you are merciful and willing to share and bend to the demands and viewpoints of seemingly anything except the opinions of others that post their views on any given controversial thread instead of just posting your view without disecting the way others feel.Instead of just playing the game ,you seem to enjoy beating others.I wonder why?

Re: Hurricanes names are racist?

Some people are stuck in a time warp or something if they think griping about storm's names instead of worring about homeless people or tax cuts is more important.

It's sad when people can see it no other way.

I'm done with this one. There's no hope.

She just needs to worry about more important stuff than what she does, but I guess that's the way that party is set-up and all that follow it.

Rush said:
It is these elected black leaders, the civil-rights coalitions – they're the ones that keep causing all this racial divide, they're the ones that keep calling attention to all this," said Limbaugh. "They're the ones that keep stirring this pot. They're the ones who don't want there to be any colorblind society. They're the ones who keep being agitated and trying to agitate others over all this, and now it's descended into the meaningless element of the names of hurricanes."

Ray said:
whats attention grabbing is buffoons like this nitwit in texas, and "REVEREND" Jackson and "REVEREND" Al Sharpton, attention grubbing rabble rousing cretins that perpetuate racism by being charactures of "The Righteous Black", pandering to ignorance, perpetuating social disintegration and generally shining a bad light that is somehow seen as right in the lower socioeconomic centers

Notice any parallels? Didnt know Rush read these posts!!

Plywoody, having examined your act for a bit now I can easily say that too often your resort to sterotypes and name calling, although you know how to disguse it. Here's your latest example:

I really get the feeling that somehow the right agrees with one of our posters, but are afraid to just come out and say it as he so eloquently did:
So we are all racists here huh? Is that what you're saying? Why do you bother even posting here if that's the case?

Why don't you avoid personal attacks and sterotypes and argue the issues?

cracked the 70 post mark over Hurricane Ooogabunga

jeeze!

Whats next, 100 posts over the term "blacktopping" being seen as a white euphemism to ram their cars steamroller - like over unsuspecting African American pedestrians????

( I like beaches too, I also like the smell of coconut oil and the sight of skimpy bikinis! I wonder if there is a relation there!)

Re: Hurricanes names are racist?

ladyfish, i will attempt to translate 1 point to PW since it hasn't seemed to appear obvious in his comments.

Dearest PW:
you seem to have a hard time discerning how the Lee issue is related to wasting money due to being salaried by the fed system .

answer:
because time is money. <period>

this means that for her time spent on this issue, as it seems SBN tried to explain, she could have spent on more deserving issues.

that should be understandable to you. it could be that her constituents value this issue enough to warrant time. you don't know, and i don't know that.

but whether it was a waste of time or not, you intentionally flamed another for it originally.

so instead of flaming, why don't you just list the ways this person could be doing a great service to her voters, and let it go at that?
