so basically i take the motor appart and i change piston ???Post #8 asked you to post compression values.-----Now you know why that is the first step in trouble shooting.----I would just take the motor apart for a simple rebuild.-----Not sure if you can find a shop out in BC to do that work.
With your limited knowledge that's a tough one. You could pull the head and see if the gasket let go. You would also need to know why it happened. Usually cheaper and easier to find a new used outboard. Sorry it happened to you.yeah and its the first step i did after talking with you guys
Here is what I mean, 3 to 4 hours south of the border drive from you.....maybe. I didn't see any in Vancouver but I'm sure they come up. Older 2 strokes are on the way out so if your patient, you can find a used one for fairly cheap. If used correctly they are very reliable outboards. The lower gearcase and the power head are the two main components that you don't want to go out. Quite a bit of time and energy with what Race is saying but it is fun to learn. I would double check and make sure the gauge is working correctly as mentioned but odds are it is. Anyhow, here is one of probably many that will come up.so basically i take the motor appart and i change piston ???
Your the Canadian with the blown engine right? Or did the a second compression test, test out better? Flywheels get a little stuck but tighten the main puller bolt and than tap with a hammer... It will pop like Tp says.hi everyone
i have a hard time removing de flywheel
anyone have and idea why its stock there ?
Cheap pulleri wack it with a dead blow hammet .....i heat it up with eatgun ...i put loose nut around the crank ...... nothing move ......its stripin up the tread on my puller
No nut. You removed the nut correct?i wack it with a dead blow hammet .....i heat it up with eatgun ...i put loose nut around the crank ...... nothing move ......its stripin up the tread on my puller
Also, not a dead blow, steel hammerCheap puller
yesi did compression test with a another tester and its blown on 2 bottom cylindre and the top one isnt in good shapeYour the Canadian with the blown engine right?
