Re: Land of the Oppressed
I don't smoke, but my wife does. She smokes outside because of my allergy induced asthema. There are times when I have to let her air out before I can go near her.

When I am walking down the street and someone is smoking ahead of me, I try my hardest to get passed them. The minor irritation I get from second hand smoke is from my bleeding knuckles, after I beat the smoker. Seriously though. The smoke makes the allergies worse, which kicks in the asthema even more. I hate to have to use the inhaler. I take allergy meds everyday, and have had $5,000 in surgery to my nose. There are still times that the smoke gets to you. Especially on a day that I forgot to take my meds.

Hell, people who bath in perfumes get to me as well. And I have to ride a bus to work for an hour each way every day. The other people think I am rude when I open a window in the dead of winter so I can breath. Don't tell me that second hand smoke doesn't do anything. I know for a fact that it does. And it pisses me off!

I don't feel that the government should be going to that extreme though. Everyone has their rights. However, I want something as a none smoker that keeps me from my work 15+ minutes, once or twice an hour.
