Re: looks like war

It wouldn't matter what was done or left undone to some folks.
Saddam and osama link. There is but one you need to concern yourself with. There are several smaller ones, like the terrorist flea market saddam keeps open for Hamas and Alqueda (terrorist orgs BTW). Then, there's thier allied hatered for Christians, and nations like ours.
But these pale in comparison with the only reason which simply put, should inspire all of us to hoist the American flag in our yards ,and paste them all over our vehicles and trailers...The one reason is
Re: looks like war

Tell yall what, I am a good tax paying American, I fully support our President and our military, but I hope this is very quick. I am very tired of hearing about it on all the major tv channels. Cant go 5 minutes without some sort of interruption. Very frustrating.

I read somewhere, let me see, oh yeah, the Bible: There's a time for everything under the sun, a time for war and a time for peace. (And that's all I have to say about that) Knobby

Re: looks like war

ok,here is my .02 on this. Weather your pro war or nonagressive, weak, turtle, head in the sand scared, you live in this country suport it or leave. Many have died to give you what you have in the USA, It was'nt given to us it was earned by the sacrifice of others who believed in the true God of the Bible and a desire to live in a free soceity like it or not. If we dont start standing up for what we hold dear it will be taken from us. Those who do not learn from the mistakes of others are condemed to repeat them.War is horible, but when you deal with a tyrant, criminal like all teriosts who ever they are,it is most necessary to make war.I love this country and its dicision to rid the earth of this scourge.Quit protesting and move out if you dont. Thanx I'm done.

i'm glad plywoody likes the refreshing comment from bassman- they go together well.

i've written it before and erased, but i should mention - no, i can't without being too critical of others, which i try to self-censor...

please try to work in some logic & reasoning to explain why you feel the way you do, in at least a greater ratio than when just bashing the other side. i admit, its nice & sometimes funny to get some good-natured cuts going, but....

-if you've been hosed down, tarred & feathered, backed up against a wall- and still can't put forth any good argument, other than a whiney "they make mistakes too!!" type case, then pleeeeeeeeze -

for the sake of those who've got a blood asset invested (family) in this administration (gov/military) - keep a tight rein on pessimistic remarks against our country's leadership.

and i put this as diplomatically as i could - no shouting, no anger, just my humble opinion

<here's an example of some pessimism>.....
TITLE: I've got your conspiracy theory right here! ;)
World Health Organisation experts are expected to arrive in China soon to determine if the pneumonia is linked with an outbreak of respiratory disease that began in southern China in November and has struck more than 300 people, killing five.

Suspected cases have been reported in Australia, Britain, Spain and the United States . On Tuesday the U.S. revised the number of possible cases to nine from 14.
Well folks, it appears the prelude mentioned has started already! we're being hit with a bio attack by the a-rabs i guess? jeez

God Bless the U.S.of A. :D :D

Our Prime Minister is a spineless frenchman and he represents Quebec not the rest of the country. I apologize for his ignorance and personally support the U.S.'s actions. I don't want to live in a world that has terrorists forever planning to kill innocent people. Exterminate that waste of skin!

ebb hit it right on the head, and wrote:
"for the sake of those who've got a blood asset invested (family) in this administration (gov/military) - keep a tight rein on pessimistic remarks against our country's leadership."

There isn't any point in debating this, we're well past this. There isn't going to be any minds or thoughts changed one side to the other.
I believe we're well past stopping this military action.
If this military action or thoughts of it isn't going your way, it's time to suck it up.
At the moment the fighting starts and blood is shed, further dissention is counter productive, boorish and just plain disrespectful. It's at that point simply saying you "support the troops" is contradictory.

Well, you are correct about one thing. We are well past stopping this action.
I still think it important to keep in people's minds that this is unnecessary and counter productive, however.

When we have further and bigger problems, there will be a tendency, especially from the right, to point out the new, and perhaps bigger fear we face, and who is now to blame for it.
And it can continue to spiral beyond any semblance of control. I hope at some point someone recognizes that perhaps we need to shift tactics to something other than war-mongering.

I can hope, at least.

Magster65, I share your thoughts on our
Priminister. I have a terrible bad taste from this
spineless Representative of the truly free CANADA
He represents all that is wrong with Canada.
Bad politicians!Man he makes me mad.
He is French and represents in his actions ,and
his words, Eastern Canada and Quebec ideology. An
embarrassment to all true Canadians.

Magster & NoSleep - I relate to what you're experiencing. I'm also very angry with NZ's prime minister for not lending our support to the coalition of the willing... ...in fact I'm ashamed

Re: looks like war

"If you can't support our leadership than keep your mouth shut" or "leave" Isn't that what the Iraqis are told?

"If we dont start standing up for what we hold dear it will be taken from us." How many freedoms have been taken from us by our own leaders since 9/11? We have to watch our own govt. just as closely. Evil and foolishness know no borders.

The president is not our boss, he is our employee. We all have the right and the duty to review his performance, publically.

Supporting our troops and criticising our polititions can take place simultaneously.
I have many friends over there right now. I support them and all soldiers fully, I hope they all do the best job they know how and get home safely.
I also think that sending them under these circumstances was a mistake. America is no longer just a defender of freedom and justice around the world. We are, for the first time, an undeniable aggressor. We can't take that back now, it's in the history books.
The reason for war changes weekly and without a good provocation the world can assume any unjust motivation (oil, greed, fear, economic instability) is leading the USA into this war and use these to further hurt our already poor image which leads to American isolation. How's this going to help our economy? Will we see less of these small independant radical terror cells? You don't have to go through Saddam to get a bomb if you need one. We've just given another reason for those radicals to need one.

WRONG!
it was Iraq's aggression that has lead to this!
the "SURRENDER" he signed 12 yrs. ago said he
would disarm... he didn't!
he has used chemical weapons on his niehbors and
his OWN PEOPLE!
he has enough chemical weapons to kill millions!
he blew up 80 + oil wells in Kuwait b4 he
left causing massive ecological damage!
he has raped, murdered, tortured anyone opposed
to him including his OWN SON!
the guy is a cockroach and should be squashed
before he has the ability to nuke us or the rest
of the world IMHO!
sorry for the rant...
M.Y.

Hey Mellowyellow,

Right on!!

I sure do wish people would read the facts before opening their mouth's.

It has been staring them in the face for 12 years, yet they refuse to read and accept the facts.

It must be the school system!
