Should there be some sort of bushing for the shift lever to pivot in in an MC-1? My housing has what appears to be a stainless steel sleeve for the shaft to pivot in but there is a whole lot of slop in it. It doesn't appear to be worn, nor does the shaft itself.
Looking through the manuals it seems that some models do have a bushing, some don't, and some are recommended to be removed if they did have them?
Should the lever shaft be a good fit through the housing or is there meant to be a lot of play there to allow the shaft to self align between the upper and lower shift shafts?
Cheers
