⅜" aint a lot ,can you post a pic of the bracket ....so we can see if there is enough " meat" there to slightly elongating the holes in that by ³/¹⁶ each. Im just thinking it might be easier than all the drilling and re-sealing of the transom .![]()
Ok , your kinda stuck with the bottom holes as they go thru the transom and if they are not right for the new motor ( not the bracket ), I cant figure from your sketch if they are or not , you will have to redrill the transom .
No not at ³/¹⁶ " bigger .....hell I wouldnt even mill them ....you got a round file ?. De-burr the edges and get some heavy duty ( like 3mm thick 25mm dia) stainless washers to spread the load .....I would use them even if the holes were untouched.What do you think about milling the 2 top holes ovel? Would it weaking the brackets?
