Re: My first rant!
I almost always return the cart to the corral, but not ever time.

Sometimes when I go to WM with just me and the kids, by the time I get all 3 buckled in I just have to get out of there. I always park the cart where it will not roll, will not block the traffic lane, and will not take up a parking stall. A good place is on one of the islands where they planted trees and bushes for landscaping.
The WM I go to is on a slope too. They have at least 4 employees at all times that round up the carts, and they do a good job. The biggest problem I have is the cart corrals are spread out, one lane will have one near the store, the next lane will have one out at the end of the lot. If I don't park near on I will have to either walk about 1/2 block uphill to park the cart, or go around the line of parked cars also about 1/2 block or more to find a corral.
If I am alone this is no big deal and I do it, but I can't leave my kids in the car alone while I go exploring to find a corral.

Another rant to add to this, what about those people who will stop and wait til you finish loading your shopping bags and back out so they can take your parking space when you leave? Here they will back up traffic in the lot for 3 parking lanes just to get 1 stall closer to the door. And they get angry if you take too much time loading, or take the time to park your cart. When these people are waiting for me to leave I like to "forget" something and return to the store for more shopping....after I load everything in my car, get a drink, check my bags of supplies.
