Is there a group of boaters in this group that are Central Florida boaters? I am always looking for boaters who boat on the Saint John's River, Mount Dora chain of lakes, or the ICW from Daytona Beach area?

Right here, buddy! In the St. Johns almost every weekend from Lake Monroe to Lake George!

In June (as every year), we'll be taking the long way around to St. Augustine, spending a few days, and then on to Daytona for the summer. We spend weekends at Disappearing Island and make the trip back in October.

Here's the thread for the St. Augustine get-together we're planning. Consider yourself invited.

I'm on the Saint Johns at least once a month I put in at the park on the north side of the river by 17/92 and also go to Disappearing Island in the summer. Since we trailer the boat we go all over the state looking for some new adventures. The price of gas will now limit my trailering some. Last months bill for gas was $1,100 about $600 more then I normally spend for gas for the 2 cars and boat.Trailering thyat boat cost me more for gas then running the boat.
I'll keep my eye on for you.

On the weekends, we usually raft up with friends at Marker 111. This is south of Highbanks and north of the bridge tressle. There is a idle speed only cut thru that connects the river and that's where we hang out. I'll be in the bigger boat with 3-4 others tied off to me. Stop by sometime for a coldie!

www.activeboating.com is where I hooked up with a lot of boaters on the St Johns and the Intercoastal. Now we have a ton of boating friends. Not a ton of forum posts, but they do put things in the calender. We live in Deland and keep our boat dry stored at the old Boatshow Marina, now St Johns Marina right at the 44 bridge, so we are out all the time. We try to get out there 2-3 times a week. This year we have been on the intercoastal more than the river.

More than likely. Will be me, the wife, 2 kids, one kid's girlfriend, and possible a few of their friends (why does this always happen?). Not sure where I'll be headed, but normall stay between the Blue Springs and Lake Monroe.

My boat is "Stick's Competition". Feel free to hail us on 16 or 77. Or keep an eye out for us....look forward to meeting you if you stop by.

By the way, that little 'beach area' we refer to as the "Redneck Riveria"!

We are also looking to meet some boaters on the river. Used to trailer alot out to disappearing island but we keep our boat at boat tree marina now so we are always on the river. We have young kids so our boating has changed alot from what it used to be. Not as easy to try to trailer and put in a boat with little ones running around. Much easier to just get in at the marina and go, but I miss the Island.

We bring our tub into Captains Cove all of the time to round out the day at the pool or just listening to the bands. If you see us come in there, stop by and say Hi!

Now this is the great part of this forum!

People getting together enjoying life.

(I live in New Smyrna (4 mins. from the Edgewater boat ramp on the icw)and as soon as I get this boat painted will be on the water as much as I can again, it would be great to hook up)

Keep a eye out for Ms. B. Havin , our 240 Searay Sundeck. I don't know where we will go next time out but probably the ICW to New Smyner for a day on the Disapering Island.

We go to Disappearing Island on the IC, and put in at the North Causeway ramp. We frequent all the restaurants out there too.

Looks like we are heading out the the river now. We will look for all you guys. Not sure how long we will be out, we have a kids birthday party this afternoon. Probably just run up to Lake Beresford, or down from here.

BIGALF, I have seen your boat out and about.

We have a burgandy Tahoe Q7 called Wish N Well. If you see us out there say hi.

I guess I'll have to start writing names down so I'll remember to look you all up the next time we are out.
