I have a E60ELCRE motor and I'm looking for the torque for the prop nut.

Re: Prop nut torque

Simply tighten that nut as far as it will go, then back it up to the first cotter pin hole.

Re: Prop nut torque

Thanks Joe that's what I've always done in the past. I just purchased a new turning point (hustler) propeller from iboats and it come with a hub kit. The instruction said to use the prop nut spacer that came with the kit and the oem spacer before the prop nut. When installed that way the oem spacer is loose because its not on the prop shaft like with the oem prop. Also I don't think the hub kit is going into the new prop all the way. Seems like it needs torqued to seat it into the prop. I've contacted turning point but no answer back. Thanks.

Sounds like you have an issue with this one. I am no prop expert but I will put my 2 cents in on this one. Do Not force anything that might not need to be forced until you know. That is the easiest way to break something that may have been defective to begin with.
Photos showing your issues will be a big help as well to the prop experts out here. One more thing this question may have got quicker response in the prop section. One of the mod's may move this thread there when they see it.

Re: Prop nut torque

Is it possible that you either misread the instructions OR the instructions were printed incorrectly, the later case which possibly should have been:

The instruction said to use the prop nut spacer that came with the kit "instead of" the oem spacer before the prop nut.

Using two (2) spacers is not logical to me.

I have to concur on the 2 spacers thing !!!
