Hello new guy Dave here
I bought this boat a few months ago and have been working on it non-stop now.
I am turning this boat into a diver duck tender boat for hunting.
I have most of it done and I am coming up on some final things to do
And I have a few questions if you could please
1. The gas tank and sending unit wiring.
Do I need to ground this to the filler cap?
Just a single wire required going back to the gauge for hook-up or also a ground?
2. I am going to run two batteries
the back one will be hooked to the motor and bilge only
the forward one under the seat will be running the electronics
both will have a on board battery charger hooked to them
these will be 24 series batteries. In the center console there are buses for clean wiring and fuses in the switch panel.
I know the back battery will be grounded to the motor.
But do I need to ground the forward battery to the back battery?
And if so what size cables do you use.
Also having the battery charger does this work in grounding the forward battery to the back battery? Or do I not do anything at all? Hook em up and go?
Here are some pictures for you to see of the boat that I am redoing.
Feel free to comment and question, I am trying to do this right, and not take short cuts.
