Uhaul rents out trucks too and they do have hitches, just a thought. Don't let that truck ruin your weekend holiday plans. Good Luck.
I ignored the uhaul trucks because I can't imagine driving a uhaul unless it is a pickup or suv.

/begin rant

so I bust my butt all over the winter/spring to get my boat finished so we can go camping over memorial day weekend on an island and right before this...I decide to do some routine maintenance to my truck...oil change and spark plugs.

I was fearing the plug change because my truck is an 06 f150 with the 5.4 3v engine that has the dreaded 2-piece spark plug design...I was prepared with new single piece plugs and the broken plug extractor tool set.

nope, god hath frowned upon my whoaful self.

I mean seriously? I'm on day 3 and probably going to have to pull the engine out and pull it apart to fix this...why cant I have nice things? seriously?

I just wanted to go out on the boat this weekend and propose to my girl on a nice moonlit night on the beach.

sigh.

/end rant

Bummer!

You ever get a chance to see the Ford TSB (08-7-6) on this?

Dunno if soaking the plugs with Motorcraft carb and tune-up VS PB blaster would have made a difference (thats what the bulletin recommends). It also has the procedure for extracting the plugs too. If you don't have the bulletin and want it send me a PM.

Good luck!

That question would have to be posed directly to the individual dealer doing the work. Probably would quote a flat rate price on the hail Mary chance that all 8 come out with no problems, then give you what the labor rate for each hour spent (above and beyond the initial fee) on extracting the broken plugs, if it comes to that.

I rented a pickup from enterprise for one reason or another awhile back, it might have had a hitch I didn't look.

The uhauls that I have seen offer pickups. I wasnt talking about the moving box trucks. Now that would be funny though, to see a big uhaul box truck backing down the ramp.

My neighbor has rental trucks ALL the time for some reason and I have specifically taken notice to the fact that NONE of them ever have hitches.

Dealers here quote two rates: one if they dont get stuck, another if they do.;) Haven't been down that road with the Expy, but I will about 30K miles from now.

I'm sure they have a hole in the bumper you could bolt a $10 ball to.
The trailblazer I rented in ~2004 had a receiver hitch. I used it to tow a project car home

Fixing a truck is cheaper than having a wife. Good luck.
