We've had about 45 vice- presidents.
And atleast 3 of them have shot people while in the office.

WOW. Quite a high percentage.

He has yet to explain what happened.

I heard that the secret service kept him from talking to the local authorities Sat nite when it happened. If true, why??? Anyone been drinking? Why would he leave it for a private citizen to relay the story to a local newspaper, when there is a white house press corps that gets paid big money to do this?

There are a lot of things that don't add up in this.
What a joke PW. What does it matter. Was this a matter of national security? What happened to 'it's just a private matter"? Is this incident a matter of character? You people make me sick!!!!!!!!!

Nor should they.

It just doesn't add up. I think a rational explaination is in order.

I bet the next lawyer will think twice about asking wiretapping questions.

oddjob
thats why I was asking about a "lawyer" stamp and whats it cost.
could introduce a whole new line of "sport" hunting.
I mean hunting prey that is adept at ducking and dodging may be a challenge.
way better than shooting pen raised phesants and quial.

Re: Vice President Shoots Lawyer

PW2, here's your "rational explaination [sic]", provided by an actual eye-witness (owner of the ranch):

D!ck, the lawyer and what's her name (Swiss ambassadeur or something) got outta the car to shoot at some birds. Lawyer got one & went to pick it up. D!ck and Switzerland walked on, leaving Lawyer behind, and flushed another covey. Meanwhile Lawyer followed approaching from behind. He was about 90 feet away when D!ck and Switzerland flushed the aforementioned covey. D!ck selected a target and, forgetting Lawyer was behind him, swung all the way round, forgot to check his line of fire beyond the target, and peppered Lawyer with birdshot.

Subsequently, D!ck made the prudent decision to allow the White House press secrectary to determine the time and manner of media notification.

Either you are not a bird hunter, or you are fabricating altogether.

Hunting accidents happen. Like all accidents, it only takes a moment of carelessness, and usually there are multiple infractions of various safety rules. In this case, it appears that there were breaches of safety rules by more than one hunter.

The attempts to make a political issue out of this are nothing less than ridiculous.

Not only is the left stepping on their own collective crank, they are now jumping up and down on it, and screaming at their opponents!

What a riot!

JTEX WROTE:

PW2, here's your "rational explaination [sic]", provided by an actual eye-witness (owner of the ranch):

D!ck, the lawyer and what's her name (Swiss ambassadeur or something) got outta the car to shoot at some birds. (Shaking head in disbelief!) And this guy is a heartbeat away from being president! I feel better already.

According to Texas statistics, there were over 1 million bird licenses issued, representing millions of hunter trips and hours in the field. There were 29 accidents of any kind reported.

That's an accident rate of 3/1000 ths of one percent. I guess our vice president is indeed "Special"

Further quote:
Subsequently, D!ck made the prudent decision to allow the White House press secrectary to determine the time and manner of media notification

And they chose to allow a private citizen to give the story the next morning to some local reporter! If that is indicative of the administration's decision making process at work, I'm surprised Iraq has gone as good as it has!

I guess it achieves the goal of getting all the other scandals and misdeeds of this admin off the front pages--for a while, at least.

I guess the only question left unanswered is who is in line for "The Presidential Medal of Freedom" in this escapade!!!

PW2,

He may be a bad hunter, but that has no reflection whatsoever on his ability to run the country. None, Zippo, Nada. Next leap please . . .

What was your reaction when Clinton perjured himself? Had nothing to do with his ability to run the country? Yeah, thought so . . .

I admit nothing :D The issue with the Veep is always whether or not he/she is "fit" to run the country . . . Nice try JK ;)
