    OMC won't make points anymore. That company was purchased and dissolved over 20 years ago. The company that purchased them also has killed the Evinrude name. Some parts are still made by Bombardier. You may still find NOS OMC parts out there though.

    Well even many of those parts regardless of what your or I or the kids call vintage are NLA and only available on the used market, unless you find someone who bought out some old marine shop or something and had piles of NOS parts.

    Yes that's how electronic parts fail. When they heat up they will no longer work but then work when cooled. Are you sure you had fuel in your carb? Stuck needle?

    You need to run a gravity feed small engine filter that won't restrict flow. Might not be your issue but your going to want to run one of those little red ones about the size of a quarter.

    How are you not blowing the water out of the bucket? I hope your not trying to run even half throttle in Neutral let alone WOT !!?? Are you sure your timing is fully advancing? Is the carb butterfly fully open at WOT?
