Varnishing an oak swim platform - need advice please

If it gets to slippery, you could mix-in some of the grit sand (even saw it at home depot) to your final coat. Cedar, though soft also is a good outdoor wood and is usually much less expensive than teak.

Starcraft Floor Replacement - Plywood? Rivets?

I replaced the plywood floor in our Sea Nympth last year with marine grade plywood and used Stainless steel screws in lieu of rivets, worked fine. I have read, if you use treated plywood, you should separate it from coming in contact with the aluminum.

95 Lowes 1930 (Sea Nymph?) no power to switches

If the switches are supposed to get thier power from the switch, you may have corroded connections at the switch, or bad wires between the switch and the toggles, or even bad toggle switches. I guess at this point, it will be manual testing/tracing the wires from the toggles back to the battery.

95 Lowes 1930 (Sea Nymph?) no power to switches

Could be in the switch. On mine (i.e., 1986 Sea Nympth version), the trolling motor wires run from the battery, under the deck, along the keel to the front, completely seperate from the key switch. Again, on mine, none of the toggle switches have power unless the switch is in the run position...

I would replace everything, else, you could try cleaning the crap out and try using it I suppose, problem being, stuff you didn't get may end up in the engine where you don't want it.

Shift Shaft removed, now can't get back into gear

There are lots of videos on Youtube that cover removal of the lower unit/impeller replacement, might be able to get some tips there with a search. Also, might want to invest in a motor specific service manual

What did I do wrong with Transom?

My .02 cents...I replaced the wood decks on mine this past summer. The original plywood was 7/16", and replaced with the same. I used marine grade, as from what I understand, there are no "voids" in the interior lamination's and you get two good sanded sides you can work with. Standard plywood...
