    It probably just needs to be adjusted. Don't know if you have Alpha or Bravo, but Alpha is easy, Bravo not so much If Alpha with motor OFF, move throttle forward about 1/2 and then 3/4 way. Note where the switch is and difference between idle. If Bravo, you have to do it with motor running...

    Agree, there is power loss "IF" the motor thinks the drive is not in gear ok that's good, but this was not part of my comment Because ECM needs those sensors to run. Thanks for SN you have a motor with CAT exhaust

    Being a 88 most likely the drive does not have the lube bottle (your term non oiler). If this is correct you have 2 issues 1 - Need to plug the lube bottle connection or adapt to be able to use one 2 - You cannot use the new uppers on your lower due to oil channel is different and will not connect

    Always post at least the year of the motor and serial numbers are best Reviewing previous post from 2023 I think yours is a 2015 motor?? I might be the in gear switch on the shift plate. If you have Bravo drives then there will be one switch, if they are Alpha then there are 2 switch's...

    Welcome You have a leak just need to find out what seal. Pressurize and then rotate each shaft drive, prop and shift. One or all of the seals is leaking. Vacuum test is a good test but keep it no more then 5 psi

    Start with cleaning the connections on gauge and check the gray wire on the coil In most cases it does just need to be replaced because the manufacture that made the gauge either no longer makes that one, or they are out of business. Find out who made the gauge and see if they can repair

    Should not need to pump when hot/warm Could bench test the TKS Oh and I said it backwards above, retracted cold and extended hot (did edit and fix)

    Have not seen one like that before, and your going to need the missing screw hole Wonder if it's maybe for a ITS (Integrated Transom System)
