Took me a minute to figure out the honeycomb pattern on your patch was because it was old road sign. lol SHSU

    1987 Starcraft islander 190v?

We have all done something questionable on our builds. As long as you are willing to learn it will be a fun ride. That being said, I had a couple patches that I covered heavy in 5200 as well. It seems to get everywhere no matter how careful you are. SHSU

    1966 Starcraft Holiday Interior Work

I would guess that is the case. I didn't have that nice trim cap over the end. It was just the screw/bolt at the end securing it. SHSU

Shoestring Starcraft SS160 Resto-mod - let the long slow road begin

How much you want to spend? lol You can go either route, but if you think they could get hit you want to make sure they have some cover to protect them. Also, if water could get to them screw is better then glue. SHSU

Shoestring Starcraft SS160 Resto-mod - let the long slow road begin

Strip lighting should provide more then enough light. Just got to spend the money to get a descent set of strip lights. Otherwise you risk having burnouts and having to replace sooner then one would like. SHSU

    New Journey

Looking good and remember when I was at that point. As for the coat-it, I wouldn't worry about it to much. If you are getting the much flex to break it, I think you have other areas of concern/damage. SHSU

Where do I belong? Alum Goods 1687, SS16 Clone?

Mine terminated in the same area as @MNhunter1. Also, for the gap at the bottom, I like the idea of a small one to allow water to flow through. Mine didn't sit flush for this reason. SHSU

Where do I belong? Alum Goods 1687, SS16 Clone?

I wish I had done the testing you did. I used 3m 90 and was pleased with how it worked for the floors. Not thrilled with the sides.... It has been a battle in some areas to keep the Nautolex sticking to the sides. SHSU

Where do I belong? Alum Goods 1687, SS16 Clone?

I did similar with mine and it works great. Snugged tight and no movement. The deck and pedestal are rigid and strong, the seat.... Well it works for now and we will eventually upgrade. SHSU

Shoestring Starcraft SS160 Resto-mod - let the long slow road begin

I used a label maker wrapped around the wire end. Haven't had the labels fall off yet. You can add some clear packing tape over it if you want to make sure it stays. Since its underneath and out of the sun, no UV concerns. SHSU

    198x SS-150 rebuild

That is a detailed plan you have. Each of us have our own ways of doing things, but in the end its your project and must be happy with it. That being said, see comments below: Dual Batteries: I use our boat in a similar fashion as far as fishing and family. I have a house bank and an engine...

If you can, suggest using medical syringe. Makes it a lot easier to control measuring then a measuring spoon. Also, works well use as an applicator on the seem edges. SHSU
