Anyone have experience with exterminating Rats?

We had issues with Squirrels, rats, ground hogs, voles, moles, birds, rabbits and deer. Fenced roughly two acres around the house with invisible fence and got a Husky puppy. Problem solved…lol

    Boat Battery Questions - Cranking

Have a link to support? Be interested in the technical aspect of this claim Kind of a moot point given nobody makes a “true” acid deep cycle anymore.

Sad Day For the SS United States

Sounds awful shallow for a boat that is a 175 ft. tall from keel to top of stacks unless it’s laying on it’s side or the stacks are remove prior to sinking

Mercury BlackMax 175Hp, difficult staring, and then bogging down.

My 1989, 175HP BM was a "chrome bore". This motor looks to have chrome bores as well

    Cabin Fever outbreak.

Two of great pleasures in life when you don’t have neighbors……peeing out doors (conserves water) and skinny dipping in the back yard pool.

    Required Safety Course

I got flagged on that at one time was well. Can't count the number of times I've been reminded that my Type IV throwable can't be stowed in the cabin.........must be within reach at all times.

    Required Safety Course

If you ever boat down here, make sure you have your paperwork and equipment in good order before leaving the dock. Between DNR, USCG, Marine Police and Homeland Security, it’s not if, it’s when you will be boarded for inspection. The only way (mostly) to avoid scrutiny is to display a valid...

Lead acid batteries release hydrogen gas when charging. Not the best idea to store or charge them in the basement.

    Prop Selection - Bayliner 175

You can add most properly sized, and "fully" powered (rated HP) boat, to that list as well Prop changes are used to compensate for a lack of horsepower at RPM. Unfortunately, a large percentage of boats sold are under-powered to met a price point, thus the perception that it's normal operation...

Alpha outdrive stud came off with nut. Never saw this before???

Our equipment is subject to extreme vibration. Nothing leaves the factory w/o some sort of thread locker. Have yet to run into a thread locker that will withstand heat and or an impact wrench.

Alpha outdrive stud came off with nut. Never saw this before???

LOCTITE® 263 is a red, high strength, primerless threadlocker for permanently locking and sealing bolts, nuts and studs to prevent loosening due to vibration. It works on all metals without primer, including passive substrates such as stainless steel, aluminum and plated surfaces. Suitable for...

    Tohatsu M18d charging output

What continuous output? Small outboards typically don’t charge at low rpm. Given the size of the motor, I’m guessing 6 to 10 Amps per hour at elevated rpm. Depth of discharge of a battery is very important to life expectancy. Discharge greater than 50% will shorten life considerably

Lexus Oil Leaks and Mechanic (Woes)

Bear in mind that most mechanics these days were in pre-school when that car was built. The odds of finding a “factory trained” tech to service a 2002 vehicle is next to nil. I’m fortunate that I have an “Performance Shop” specializing in “older” imports, Toyota, Honda and Datsun/Nissian...

    Battery Switch Confusion

You could, but I would take the opportunity clean up the mess using the appropriate wire colors, ie ground wires should be black

    Battery Switch Confusion

Wrong end.......other end goes to switch. Wires (yellow and red) currently connected to the positive wire terminal go to the "accessories" terminal on the switch. The "grounds" (yellow/ white and black) stay with the ground cable

    Battery Switch

The purpose of the switch is two fold.....it allows you to charge both batteries with a common source, and it allow you to connect the motor and "accessories" circuit to either battery if necessary. If you want a particular circuit to draw off a particular Source, the battery needs to be...
