What rifle to scope for hunting?

Well. Spanish Mauser in 308 is a re chamber that was done in the 50s. Mosins were made in the millions as well and at one time they were as cheap as $80 each or a crate of them for $500. now they’re pushing $600 each. Modify one and it’s worth $150… looks like a Spanish 308 Mauser starts at $600...

What rifle to scope for hunting?

Wouldn’t scope any of the military rifles.. they are what they are more or less and putting a scope on them drastically reduces their value. just buy a 308 Ruger American or a Savage. Sell the Mosin. I bet you bought it when they were cheap. You’ll buy a scope and a gun and money for ammo and...

    Evenrude 20Hp ?

With the old lower unit, makes it pre 1985 or so. @racerone can identify the decals. Exact year Isn’t critical as they are very much the same 1977-2005? But there are some differences.. it’s got a choke carb and not a primer, as well identifying it as earlier. But they swap so that’s not a tell...

    Re usable K cups

I didn’t know sealable k cup’s existed. I get 100 pods for $27 at BJs, but I find traditional Folgers with the reusable tastes better.. thanks guys. Think I’ll try both ideas

    Re usable K cups

I have a keurig with the dual pot/ k cup system and k cups are getting expensive. I bought one of the replacement chambers that has a screw cap and a basket filter and it works well. I want to have multiple basket filters so that I can pre prep coffee filters to drop in in a Tupperware. does...

    Coffee maker parts

I came to ask a question about reusable k cup filters. And you post something about a coffee machine 7 mins before. That’s weird lol… My parents had a washing machine made sometime in the 70s, that was only replaced when the agitator was no longer available. It had been replaced a few times...

283 stalls when engine cover closed

It happens on outboards when the base gasket is blown. Reduces the amount of oxygen by displacing with an equal amount of co2 from the exhaust. think on a 283 though you could hear the exhaust tick though

    Trailer Wheel

Depends fwd or rwd. The rim i used, whatever it was for had negative offset and could have used a spacer. But the customer was happy I made it work

    Trailer Wheel

Yes, however I question the quality of the rim… rims from my suppliers are branded dextar or carslile, and even they are cheaply made

    Trailer Wheel

That is the ideal solution, however I know that one of my customers had a bad one of these hard to find rims on his lawn mower trailer. Rusted right through. I didn’t have one, but digging through the junk wheel pile I found one that fit. The offset wasn’t right but it cleared the frame and was...

    Trailer Wheel

15” 6 lug is a very hard one to get. Dextar makes them for sure and last I knew E trailer had them… but it’s very hard to find them. Last time my shop found them available, we bought out the supplier inventory which was all of 6 wheels…. If all you can find is a 16” wheel then as a spare, just...

1995 3.0 cobra coolant system.... (and hello)

What you are trying to do is a guaranteed frozen block… all you gotta do is drain the block and manifold. Remove hoses, make sure you get all the water out. You can add antifreeze back to the block through a hose or other means if you want to… but air doesn’t freeze

Thinking about an upgrade for the tow vehicle

In those generations, a Ram Cummins is really the only one. 5.9/ 6.7 pre emissions. 6.0 Ford was actually built from an industrial version used in some school busses and such, but the Cummins is actually more common in school busses. 6.0 can be decent but if it’s not bulletproofed with...

Wizard Western Auto 6602 A47 7hp different electrical power source than I've seen

Some of the techumseh engines had what they called SSI or solid state ignition. I think 1967 was the first year it was used. If it’s failed, there is no direct replacement and only some can be converted to points.
