    1990 force problems

Sounded good to me. A no load of 5000rpm really doesn't show much. A loaded rpm would be much better, in the water, boat loaded and gassed. Then try to hit 5500 at wide open.

    Force/U S Marine 15 hp won't start

Did you check the things I posted before? (The fuel line where it goes into the motor, that connector has a rubber seal that goes bad and allows the motor to suck air and die. Another problem might be the float in the carb isn't set right and runs itself out of fuel. When pumping the ball, does...

    Lost the yoke

Take it apart and use marine assembly grease to make sure the yoke stays on the rod. Always include Year, model, serial# location and any other info that might help?

Also new pump: the connector (if there is one??) between the motor and pump might not be hooked up? Or since it's new the connector might be too short or missing?? Not all have a connector.

    Force/U S Marine 15 hp won't start

He probably used starting fluid on it??? When looking at any boat/motor I always tell the seller to don't start it until I get there. When I get there I touch the motor to see if it's hot. If it is I walk away. It could be a good motor but the owner's hiding something.

    Force/U S Marine 15 hp won't start

1987 If it runs for 15 seconds? then quits, that sounds like a fuel delivery problem. The fuel line where it goes into the motor, that connector has a rubber seal that goes bad and allows the motor to suck air and die. Another problem might be the float in the carb isn't set right and runs...

    1987 Force 50 Model B

It should be self bleeding. In needs to have the oil added while the motor is down, adding when up can push the oil up into the electric motor. Just running it up and down will clear the air. If it's a new pump?? it might not be any good :( The crap from china is horrible and 50% of the time...

Loosen the 7/16 bolt and activate the switch and move the solenoid till it brings the slide as far as it will go. The butterflies need to close all the way.

    Oil leak

Did you put the seal/s in backwards or was there a groove on the shaft where the seal sets? Pressure test? I bought a Ryobi tire compressor, it had an attachment that works great for adding air to the lower to help check for leaks. Soapy water in a spray bottle on the area's where it might leak.
