    Yes Scott, its rubber by Felpro permadry. Now reading my post i ment to say also putting rtv over the gasket at both channels that cover the rear seal and timing cover before installing the oil pan. I have seen some people do it and other that don't, so i was confused.

    Boat was water kept and everything it's either rusted or fully gone. I put oil on the bottom where the shims are and it loosened it. But i want to make sure it can be greased and wondered if that was possible.
