Which one of those vehicles is supposed to be the boat? The white one or the red one? Ha!

Generac Generator 17kw Guardian Series- runs constantly

Sorry to hear about your problems. You spend big bucks and expect a quality product. I don't know what your problem could be, but excuse me while I rant a bit... My mother-in-law has practically the same unit. Her's is 18kw. In our area, Generac service is practically nil. (Pocono...

Why do they make 12 point sockets and wrenches?

Ok, got it! 👍 Never stop learning! 😉 Thanks!

Why do they make 12 point sockets and wrenches?

Thanks for the response! Yes, I always go for the 6 point for tighter fit. I have never seen 12 point bolts/nuts. Is there really such a thing? I've seen plenty of torx, but that's a different animal...I think.

Why do they make 12 point sockets and wrenches?

I know it's best to use a 6 point socket or wrench on hex nuts or hex bolts. They give you the best fit so as to avoid slippage and rounding out of the bolt head or nut. So, why even make 12 point sockets and wrenches? Are there nuts and bolts with 12 sides? Not that I know of.

    Cracked spark plug porcelain-timing?

Maybe the guy meant all the accessories would work. Maybe he wasn't referring to the heads? Miscommunication?

Replace or Repair, where to start?

Ah, OK. I stand corrected. I guess my memory is not what it used to be. 😞

Replace or Repair, where to start?

Not doubting your knowledge or suggestion. What I was referring to was... When I serviced my impeller for the first time (third owner), the plastic water tube was slightly melted. I wanted to make sure the OP checked that tube since overheating can melt it. Without that tube properly connected...

    Cracked spark plug porcelain-timing?

This has gotten interesting. I would like to follow.... One question, probably irrelevant, but why are those spark plugs so rusty? I thought you installed new ones. I don't think my old plugs looked anywhere near that bad. And I have no idea when the previous owner changed them...

Replace or Repair, where to start?

Sounds like you are on the right path. From what others have said, your compression test numbers are a bit low. Again, I'm not an expert, but if it were me, I'd just go for it and see how it runs. At this point I think you are realizing that bad things can go wrong with an overheat condition...

    50-1 Mix in a new 4 stroke

This is very interesting. When I read the OP's question, I thought "what"! No way! Well, you learn something new every day, as they say!

Replace or Repair, where to start?

I think you are referring to the (plastic) water tube. If you overheat, that tube will likely melt. Get a new one and make sure it mates up when you put the lower half back onto the upper half. If it doesn't line up, the water will not make it up to the engine and you will overheat...again. As...

    Cutting cable TV

I guess it all depends on your location. I'm surprised, given where I live, I get decent cell and ota tv service.

I remember going to a neighbor's house to watch the wizard of oz. They had a color tv. Ah! Atari 2600 and pong! I still have mine! I wonder what it's worth? Ha! Pong! Atari 2600!

    Cutting cable TV

This conversation made me reminisce about my childhood.... when our TV would act up we would remove the masonite cover from the back. In there would be those old vacuum tubes. We'd pull the tubes out, go to the local Rexall (CVS, Rite-Aid, Walgreens of the era). There would be a console that you...

Dude! TV's are way cheap now! You're probably ruining your eyes with that antique! You're definitely gonna need a crane, come-a-long or chain fault to get that thing out! I remember getting my old 25 incher out. I rolled that thing out the door and down the steps. No way was I gonna pull my...

I haven't had any problems with Sling. I've been using it now for a few months. It never drops out, great picture quality and I've never had a commercial pop up in the middle of something. Maybe they have improved it? Maybe my internet is better? It's speed is 100mb.

I hear you! Long post...sorry...but this is important! My triple play bundle expired and without warning they sent me a bill for $286!!!! No way am I gonna pay that every month. I tried to bargain with them as I've done in the past, but they wouldn't budge. I switched to Sling TV. You get...

    Residual Heat during this "lockdown"
