    To answer the original question...you will be fine going up the ramp as long as you get traction !! First gear is low and you will have plenty of grunt to get up that ramp. Now if you were going cross country, that would be another issue !!

    The insurance will still use the value/ condition of the boat to create the premium !! All of them use value to determine cost. Brother in law is an insurance agent/ adjuster, his company is high cost, I dont use him for my own insurance.
