    Maybe check with your service provider. Some offer mobile service calls. Ask for pricing and also what happens if the tech shows up but isn't able to fix the boat and it has to go back to the shop. I belive in customers being able to make an informed decision.

    Something is wrong here, If the engine computer triggers RPM reduction it will also turn on the MIL light.     Your right, it is crazy that the low pressure fuel pump would cause an engine to die and not restart. Does your engine have a misfire? Easy to test the low pressure pump.
