    6Y5 fuel management gauges ??

You should get TGU and GPH. Sounds like TGU is reset each time you turn the key. With my Flow Scan system I get TGU since the last time I reset the clock. Might want to check if that function is configurable In effect your are averaging consumption over a hour. You will not get a viable GPH...

    Wiring diagram, is it correct?

Daisy chaining all the grounds and the power to the two nav lights reduces the number of wires running from bow to switch panel down to 3, GRD, NAV and LED. Terminate “bow” and bilge GRD on battery. Daisy chaining the power thru the switch panel reduces panel to battery and isolator to 1 wire.

    Revolution 14.6x19P vs 3-B something?

Just be forewarned they prop rattle like no other….. ended up going to a third party rubber hub to quiet it down a bit. Was think of going back and putting my Offshore Renegade 4 blade back on for a while to compare it with the Enertia I’ve been running for 3 years now. I gained @ 2.5 mph and...

Should I replace my surge brakes with electric on my boat trailer?

It’s all about MTBF… what is the most problematic system on a trailer?

Should I replace my surge brakes with electric on my boat trailer?

I disagree..... Couldn't keep drum brakes on the trailer more than a couple of seasons at best w/o them seizing up. Switched to Kodiak Dacromet disc and hubs. Went 8 years before a caliper started acting up. Swapped them out for KodaGuard coated calipers two years ago. Will have to see how they...

Should I replace my surge brakes with electric on my boat trailer?

You got that right….. Surge disc on the boat and electric on the horse trailer. Have spent more time messing with electric brakes than all other electrical problems on both trailers combined. Spent an hour this morning under a 2 year old horse trailer after Mrs. Dingbat complained of...

Why does my tandem axle trailer not have a backup solenoid?

Free backing drum brakes do not require lockout. Work well. Ran them before switching to disc with solenoid

    Soak Bearings in Rust Remover?

Steel is not porous. Your confusing porosity with surface roughness. Porosity would impart significant problems on the use of mass adsorption and X-ray fluorescence to measure thickness of, or coatings on, metallic substrates.

    Soak Bearings in Rust Remover?

Surface rust comes right off with any type of lubricate, I use diesel fuel, and steel wool. As noted above, I’d be inspecting the bearing surfaces

Need Advice on Replacing Hubs, Drums and Brakes on Boat Trailer

The bearing protector don’t match the hubs which is 1.988 While grease in can will work, it’s a heck of a lot easier and a lot less messy to use grease gun and tubes of grease

Possibly getting a slip - what to know before saying yes

The ramp at the marina wasn't the greatest, but its private and 150 ft. from my parking space. Don't understand the need to two bilge pumps (although I have fore and aft) with a self bailing deck. If you loose a thru hull no amount of bilge pumps are going to keep you afloat

Possibly getting a slip - what to know before saying yes

Kept my boat on the trailer at the marina for 3 years. No bottom paint, not bilge pump worries, no dock checks between visits and no running down to pull the boat before blows. Took less than 30 minutes to pull, rinse, flush (saltwater) and back into my assigned parking space. Just rented a...
