    When rebuilding try to find some fishing line thru the passages. If that won't go, look for safety wire, it comes in small gauges

    This is how you manually verify it's a 1.5 ratio drive Yes most 1.5 are used on SBC V8 light boats, Twin SBC V8 heavier boats, and also BBC V8. All depends on HP to weight ratio. If it gets heavy enough it ratio will go low (1.8, 2.0, 2.2) We know it's 1.5 so don't worry about that part.

    If carb is leaking fuel then carb needs rebuilt. While the leaking carb is not the issue with not starting or hard starts, the most probable cause is the float needs reset, the fuel bowl valve needs replaced. Most likely its flooding, but inspection would need to be done

    Several have installed then on OSO and for the most part they will self program but need O2 sensors. Yes you will need a HP pump
