1997 7.4 mercruiser mpi blue water inboard

All Merc twins use opposite rotating props and like VP it's easy to change. Most Merc's used Hurth/Velvet drives and it's simple to change the pump to have it rotate in different directions in FWD

1997 7.4 mercruiser mpi blue water inboard

Welcome I would do a rebuild of what you have. Look real close at the motor, it probably is a 7.4 mpi, but might be a 454 Mag mpi. If it's the Mag then it has 385hp with 502 heads

Welcome Not sure you need a main breaker for house loads, you have a breaker/fuse panel which will protect them. Does not hurt anything if it's there Wiring looks good. The E-drive manual has a breaker between Bats 2 and 3 Main breaker should be 40amp. Size of wires is determined by how...

Not real familiar with Suzuki but with everything working but just won't crank, I would think those 2 brown wires are for neutral safety. Could probably connect them together for test, but lets test first Use a voltmeter and measure each wire for 12V when key is turned to start. If one goes...

    5.7 slave cylinder wiring

    5.7 slave cylinder wiring

Agree FT has it 1 & 2. Put small Y/R wire on the I terminal and Black on other one. The coil needs a ground and in most cases doesn't care if it's on the "I" side or the other. Being DC it will still energize 3. The wires should go to the ALT as you listed unless the ALT was replaced with a...
