    Hi. I had the almost identical engine to this years ago. The aq205. The 431 came just after and only for a couple of years or so. On my dash, there were fuses for the ignition that are worth checking. Yours may be under the dash. Mine were in it. Glass fuse type.

    Identical to the AQ205 4.3 V6 AD. Just with a fuel pump signalled off the oil pressure switch.

    I’d say the hull you put an engine in, is just as or more important perhaps. I don’t think your hull will have the ability to push through a certain barrier perhaps

    It won’t. It’s blue tooth. Will show you GPs speed and a map though. Not a chart. All other engine data and fuel is displayed though

    I’d say it’s normal to have to top up the bottle after a full drain of the gear oil. Always a air gap between the top vent where oil is filled to…and the res tank in engine bay. Naturally oil runs down and fills the void.

    Not to give you a hard time or anything…but in 40 years of owning and working professional on boats and using them at least every weekend in summer, I don’t think I can think of a single occasion that I’ve used the trim in reverse. But all that aside…there was a recall on the merc 115 engines...

    Thanks Dingbat. It was the mercury one that came with the engine package. Normally doesn’t bother me. Such things, but flicking through the menus for engine data…then seeing that the temperature of Loch Lomond (a glacial formed body of water that peaks around 11 degrees C at its warmest 😂)...

    Wouldn’t think you’d need to, unless there were signs of any contamination. Years ago I had water in a 290. I flushed it out with diesel.

    You’ll need to pull the pump out the back of the boat. Get an impeller removal tool or stick the whole thing in a big vice. Big spanner with a pipe extension on it. You’ll need a new wear ring too. I presume you mean it’s a mercury 120hp
