    does the red wire to the key switch have 12 +? when turning the key to the on position it should put 12+ on the yellow wire. Should be some fuses on the motor

    getting to and cutting the drive shaft off maybe needed, Not sure how or where to do that. then drill and tap a hole in the shaft to try to remove the cut off piece out of the power head. this all depends on what is sticking the drive shaft

    only thing I can think of is to bore scope stuck into the spark plug hole to inspect the top of pistons to see if those are hitting something that came loose, or carbon build up. Might also check timing to see if it has moved too far advanced causing piston slap I guess bad gas could also...

    that or there is an air leak in the system that only allows air in when the salt off is being sucked in somehow. But I would like to think Robert's replay was correct

    no he just said it was a 4 stroke. my mistake seems the only 2002 F60 I could find still had carbs only real way to make sure all 4 carb bowls are drained completely of fuel is to open the drain screws to empty them best to run them often and keep the bowls full

    giving the motors full model number helps ID what you have. since you say it is not a 2 stroke and it does not have carbs, I would monitor the rail pressure to see if it stays in spec. if rail pressure is good all of the time, sending off the injectors to have then cleaned and tested would be a...

    have you taken the cowling off and the silencer off the front of the carbs to see if there are choke plates in the carbs and manual or electrical linkage to operate them? 1992 did not have those

    OK, that means he should have very high ohms reading between the green wires and the block. megohm reading or OL (out of range readings)

    so are you saying he should be reading zero ohms from each green wire to the block? I thought that would mean a dead short to ground, not even going thru part of a coil and that does not seem right to me.

    Not sure on this 0 ohms reading. when I put a meter on a shorted connection (meter leads touching each other) it reads 000.4 ohms (meter leads resistance) when meter leads are not touching each other (open circuit) it reads OL I guess it depends on what you call Zero ohm reading

    if you are trying to verify timing, just use a timing light to see where it is sparking at. if not correct then chase how to adjust

    manual calls for measuring with a peak reading volt meter or an DVA adapter and a regular meter it would be a good idea to get a service manual for you motor, and the proper test equipment this is a little clip out of mine for a C40TLRX
