    gotten one of these?

More than likely they're contemplating offering tax refunds (road tax) for fuels consumed in a boat. A number of States are now offering to refund the "road tax" portion of your fuel if you submit receipts at the end of the year or........justification to move money from transportation budget...

    Towing friends boat damage

The two great unexplained mysteries in my life…… The trailer coming off the ball at the bottom of the driveway at 4:15 am and the winch cable detaching from the boat while pulling up the ramp. None for worst for wear in both situations, but I remind myself daily that both situations had...

    Tongue Jack Failing

The issue is the hardness of the gears. They work until the clearance in the gears surfaces are worn away. Still work but takes a lot more effort. Have not run into any issues finding a replacements in either the horse or boating worlds. Changed a welded on a-frame jack for a guy a couple of...

changing from a 2 barrel to a 4 barrel carburetor

Is the 4.3 that much of a dog? My glass boat is a good bit heavier. A 200 Hp outboard pushes it @30 mph at cruise, just touches 40 mph at WOT

    Is this engine oil good?

Deceptive marketing… They list three specifications, but find it interesting they don’t claim to be “certified” to any of the standards nor do they claim to “meet” any of the specifications.

Anybody familiar with these "Spindo" repair sleeves?

They don't spin... Properly sized, Speedi-Sleeves are a loose press fit....0.003" of clearance. With a bit of Permatex as a lubricate, they are not going anywhere If I remember correctly, you drive them on the axle with a piece of 2" PVC

Sounds like I'm the exception...... I have "Chinese" carbs on chain saw, golf cart, pole saw and blower. In the case of the golf cart, going on 4 seasons now. I had to adjust the idle and fuel mixture to suit, but otherwise so far so good.

How do I get that last inch?

Check your winch manual….. I was going to do the same on mine. Downloaded the manual to see if I had to do anything special. I was surprised they were very specific as to the orientation of the strap (handle rotation) due to the design of the locking design of the gears

Anybody familiar with these "Spindo" repair sleeves?

Bad idea.... Shaft seals are a friction interface. They require tight tolerance shafting with specific hardness and surface finish to maintain the long term integrity of a seal. If you can feel a groove with your finger nail, the shaft needs to be replaced or resurfaced How many know your...

Anybody familiar with these "Spindo" repair sleeves?

Bought something similar (bearing buddy I beleive) a while back to resolve a worn wear surfaces on my front spindles. Bought a kit very similar to the one you noted. Used o-rings for sealing and required a larger than stock seal to accommodate the sleeve. Wasn't going there. still in the junk...

    MS660 knock off

Bought a knock off pole saw a few years back. Fired right up but had a 50/50 chance of bogging when you hit the throttle. Screwed with for a week or so and set it aside since I finished the job it was purchased for. Saw a carb for the unit popup on Amazon. What the heck for $20. After a bit...
