Mercruiser 5.0 50 degrees at idle

For the timing to be 50* advance either the balancer has moved or your using the wrong plug to set timing (Ford/Chevy thing, Chris post 4). Only way I know without taking the head off to find exact TDC is with a stop bolt.

    Mercruiser 3.0l TKS stalling

Right now I'm not worried about a small drip because its all in an interpretation of what your seeing. As air is sucked in pass the venturi the low pressure sucks fuel out of the carb. The higher the rpm the more fuel is sucked out. Depending on how clean the carb internal channels are will...

Regal Commodore 2665 5.7OSXI, engine will not start, making NO turn over noise when turning key.

Need more info and agree should be in VP area Might just be a bad starter When key is turned, the starter bendix or solenoid should push the gear into the ring gear. If this isn't happening, then may just be a stater issue, or wiring

    Mercruiser 3.0l TKS stalling

Those are the venture's and a little drip is no issue. From your symptoms your most likely getting to much fuel so its flooding a little. This can be from a piece of crud getting in the carb needle seat, or just need to re-adjust things. The enrichment module is not the overall cause, because...

The cap should have the ports numbered, and left bank on left (1-3-5-7)and right on right (2-4-6-8). Makes it easier then the round ones Key ON pump should run for 2 seconds. Use a rag and push in on the schrader valve on fuel rail and see if fuel squirts out. If no gas, turn key ON/OFF a...

Looked up both I/O and IB 5.7 for 1996. There are different flywheels, and they both weight 33 LBs. The bell housing does show the IB starter comes in from the rear, all parts can be obtained today If you look at the side views of the 2 it sure looks to me like the ring gear is just on the...
