    Step #1 is to remove the recoil.---Then inspection plate on top of flywheel.-----Coils will be cracked or new ones installed already.----------Yes the carburetor will likely need cleaning.----And install a new water pump impeller before your next fishing adventure.

    Sorry----But the lower crankshaft seal has nothing to do with compression in the cylinders.-----You are aware that this motor has 6 separate / sealed crankcases.

    Your motor may be running on just 1 cylinder.----So some testing needs to be done and facts can be posted.----Other than that you can just keep guessing.---Sorry

    The water from the tell tale DOES NOT circulate through the block.----There may be internal blockage in water jackets.-----Tabs on head gaskets are on outside on both heads?----Pictures ?

    Step #1 is a compression test after numerous overheating incidents.-----A rule to follow is a new impeller on a new purchase.

    Post compression test values here.----And does spark jump a gap of 3/8" or more on both leads ?

    Need to understand the basic operation of a 2 stroke engine !!-----When piston is at bottom of stroke the intake and exhaust ports are open.-----Some fresh fuel / oil go right out the exhaust !----This is wasted.-----Collects in your test tub.

    Mixing gas and oil at 50:1 ?------What pitch is the propeller ?
