    There is water drops on the piston and the rust all indicate a blown head gasket. Not to mention the 190 psi means water in those cylinders

    Check for power at Pos side of coil. If its there, with points open see if ther is power on the Neg side of coil. If both are yes, loosen dizzy and rotate to see if points open and close as the dizzy is turned

    Pull the engine connector apart and clean the contacts. Use a voltmeter and trace voltages from the battery to the key and at the motor

    ^^agree exhaust tube Can either install a bellows which exhaust exits at the drive, or the tube which exits at the transom

    Check your fuel pressure 50-60 psi If its real low there may be an issue

    Being 10 inch from water line and 3 inch low is either a bad install by chaparral or the hull is water logged and it heavy. So I would get taller risers if there is clearance

    Agree something is off. Are you saying your using a 4.3 balancer instead of the 5.7? Make sure the firing order is correct? 1-8-4-3-6-5-7-2 If it is then maybe the balancer outer ring has slipped. Rotate the motor around to #1 TDC and see if it aligns on timing mark at zero

    Might be air passing by the mic but I'm hearing a miss, its just not smooth So far as someone that just sold a problem to another, it can either be not an issue because it wasn't their, or they don't want to admit it, or they don't want to get sued

    Leak down test Without a tester you can run the piston up to TDC on the low cylinder. Connect a compressor to spark plug hole and pressurize around 50 to 90 psi. Listen for the air escaping and determine if its leaking out the intake/exhaust or if its going into the block

    Would like to see a pic to verify, but I would say yes, remove plastic and discard and install anode. That said, if you don't have a mercathode and don't plug it into shore power then its not going to help much

    To find out if the motor is actually over heating, get a IR temp gun. Take measurements on the thermostat housing and compare with the boat gauge From the drive thru a power steering cooler (if it has one) Then to thermostat housing T housing to engine circulating water C water pump to engine...

    Pushing the button doesn't cause it to trip. The button only resets the breaker if it trips
