    How are you going to attempt a repair if you do not have basic tools ?----Hurry and take it to your local shop.----Be an easy fix and might save you doing some electrical damage.

    Not saying that it is running on just 1 cylinder.-----But these motors have a dual ignition system.----Very common to lose spark on one side.----And to a novice they sound wonderful running on 1 cylinder.----A wonderful motor that 72 model 25 HP.-----It be 50 years old and with common sense care...

    ??-----The stature of 4 people won't matter much on a boat that size.----Full fuel tanks would weigh more I think.

    Perhaps try another prop.---Hub in the prop might be slipping.-------The notches on the shift rods MUST line up before bolts are put in.----And shift action can be adjusted at the shift lever.

    Not quite.----The electric primer gets fuel pressure from the fuel pump.----If motor keeps running when you push the key in , you need to look at the carburetors.

    Those coils are recent replacements.----Good to go.

    If new motors were assembled and built the old way , then sticker shock would happen in the showroom.

    Actually the pump operates with crankcase pressure , not vacuum.

    Still the wrong plugs ( J6C ) for this motor !!----J4C and J6C are 3/8" reach !!---Gas oil mix is 50:1 if VRO is bypassed.
