Assuming you ave an Alpha drive, remove it and connect a hose to the thermostat housing where the line comes from the drive. If its a Bravo drive, connect hose to the inlet side of the belt driven water pump
With a mechanical pump, you either have a weak pump or the anti-siphon valve may be...
Got it out, used a 2 jar puller, torch and hammer.
To do the all thread I needed to move the tractor over to the shop, just thought I would give this a try. Using the thread and pipe would only allow me to apply heat to one side
Being an 18 footer there isn't a lot of weight and it has a deep V hull. The vent plate once trimmed out to level is at the bottom of the V. If it had some more weight it may stay planted more. Any prop which gives more lift just makes things worst
Don't see an issue with the exhaust, its...
Appears you have removed the fuel retaining screw, so its just stuck. Only thing holding it in is crud and the O ring. It doesn't use the fuel line removal tool that is on the line
You have the older wiring color code
White - Ignition power
Black - Ground
Green - Water Temp
Orange - Oil Pressure
Each gauge gets a Black and White to power it up. Also looks like the Wite also goes to the lamps to light up the gauges when ignition is turned ON
Assuming your installing the standard VP hydraulic steering, and not full hydraulic like what is found on performance boats, the cylinder attaches to the transom plate. Would be attached to the 2 bolt pins see in top left of pic
If it broke up it could make it thru the tubes. You can remove the one end cap where the hose goes it and have a look. If it was in one piece it should not have made it thru the PS cooler
I don't see it plugging any hose
Assuming this is a GL motor your working on
When cranking the motor there should be 12V on the Yellow/Red wire and thru the diode (16) to the relay
Once started power comes from the Green wire from the ALT to another diode to the relay to keep it engaged.
Check for power at and thru the...
Thanks, you have a 555 ECM and as mentioned by scoflaw, it can be several things. Killing the motor I would look for a bad connection on the 5V circuit and ignition. Best to get the codes read
That can cause the motor to run lean if it was not reprogramed
Not mine and checked with the Mod before posting here. I don't need it but someone else might
Found what appears to be a brand new VP-DP out drive at the Laurel County Sheriff's office seized property. It's being done by Ford auctions in Kentucky.
SERIAL #A880723 PRODUCT #21615545 TYPE...
Since it ran before head gasket replacement I'm assuming its not motor related
Here is wiring for EST ignition
Check for 12V (not test light) on purple wire.
Then check for spark as mentioned above, or at coil to a ground
Got me a used Kubota M9540 and want to install a hydraulic top link. Its a cat 1 tractor and would like to figure out the min and max length dimensions for use. The 3 point hitch is standard for most tractors so if anyone has a similar one
The IAC is a worm drive so don't push pull on the tip nor use carb cleaner on it. You can use carb cleaner on the TB
Have not found a ohm test but tpenfield has don some other testing
