Many 50 / 60 year old 2 strokes are running like new.------One of the key things is can you work on newer complicated motors yourself?---Or do you have to line up at the $100?hr repair shop for help.
Might be an issue with the shock absorber / slip clutch.----Even if you have never heard of that assembly under the water pump.----In my opinion these 60 year old motors need complete inspection / evaluation before roaring away from the dock.
Are those numbers the casting numbers found on the head itself ?-----Those are not always the same as the actual part # from the parts listing.----If in Canada---evinrudeparts.ca ----might be able to help.
