    Before you start spending money on parts it is wise to do a complete evaluation of this motor.-----Compression test / removal of bypass covers to look at pistons and rings / teardown of lower unit to inspect impeller / gears and bearings etc.----Be a shame to have a new starter on a worn out 60...

    You need to expand your search.-----The 1967 model 33 HP uses the same starter bracket .----And I dare say the starter will work too.-----
