Swapping power head units or midsection lower units or swivel transom mounts between Mercury 83 50 HP 4 cylinder and 93 40 HP

What about 5 and 9? They appear to have a different shape, so Clearance with the Cowl might become an issue? You have to pull Powerheads to undo the upper Motor Mounts, so 6 of One, 1/2 Dozen the other

    Brake based limited slip differentials

Brake based Limited Slip Differentials are also known as Traction Control. I will take a LSD over Traction Control any day, though if it took enough of the other LSD I might find Traction Control entertaining... though years from now, a Flashback would be scary

How can I make my Tracker 40 HP faster?

That is why a lot of us Ask if the Spark will jump a 3/8" or 7/16" Gap. Air is an Insulator, and the Denser it is, the better of an Insulator it is, and the Voltage required to Jump the Gap increases.

changing from a 2 barrel to a 4 barrel carburetor

A 22 ft is a lot of Boat for a 4.3. Myself I wouldn't use anything smaller the Big Block in a boat that Size. That said... Tops out at 4200 Rpm. What is the WOT range for your Engine, I mean the WOT range that was Specified for it in 1989? A 4.3 is not going to need a lot of CFMs. At 4200 rpms...

How do I get that last inch?

The Winch Strap, even though it is Twisted is Exiting at a good Angle, mainly because it is unwinding from the Bottom of the Winch Reel. However that is not how the Previous Photo had it. There it appeared to be unwinding from the Top. From this Angle, the Boat appears to be against the Bow...

    1994 mariner 115, oil injection

I've seen a few on the V6s, likely because the Gear is not continuous, and had a Split that has to be lined up, and secured, but not on the inline Loopers. Using Nylon for the Drive Gear was probably done to reduce Noise

    1994 mariner 115, oil injection

The Engineers that designed the Oil Premixing System did a Good Job on it. The Pump Gears are just above the Lower Crank Bearing so they are always well Lubricated, even if the Lower Bearing Seal leaks a bit.
