    1985 85hp force looses power

    I was running wot at 5200 rpms on monday and then it started to slowly loose rpm so I brought the rpms to 4200 and it ran fine all day. I'm wondering if it is the fuel pump. I have had the boat for 1 year and I never replaced it yet. Should I replace the pump?

    I have a 1985 85 hp force outboard on a 15 ft mfb caprice. 650lb hull, 300ish motor, plus gear. I have a 13x17 prop on it I can trim all the way out without the prop blowing out.     I had gotten a humminbird 580 fishfinder with gps for christmas. I went to put a navtroics card in it and there was nothing in there to put the card in. Now I have to send it in for repairs. Does this happen often? A brand new unit having to be sent in for repairs when it wasn't even used?
